The Lodge at West River

Very nice hotel.

Stayed here to go skiing at Mt Snow which is about 30min away. Quaint place. No frills but clean. I love their breakfast nook which is on the second level overlooking the front.

Super nice and accommodating staff. Room was spacious, breakfast was perfect grab and go and excellent location to go ski, or do other outdoor activities. Solid value as well. Thank you!

Quaint and cozy place to stay and not too far from Mt Snow where we were skiing.

Owners Oliver and Davis could not have been kinder and more helpful. They brought special goodies for breakfast and made delicious coffee. We wanted to be close to our family for my dad’s memorial and the location was very convenient to New Fane and stores. The motel is older and fairly well kept, just bring ear plugs for the loud trucks that go down the road in early am.

The property is a renovated motel. The rooms were extremely clean and updated, the property was well taken care of and Oliver and David were very attentive and went out of their way to ensure a great experience. There is an outdoor fire pit and on our way back to the room, I called and inquired if we needed to supply any of our own wood for its use. David told us they had everything there and also took the time to go get a fire started for when we arrived. Its the little things!

The owners have made significant investment in refurbishing this motor inn. It’s an affordable gem in the West River Valley, near Newfane which is one of the most photogenic villages in all of New England. It’s clean, quiet, comfortable, and the customer service is excellent.

Very nice and very clean motor lodge in a beautiful and quiet part of Vermont. Basic amenities, light breakfast with hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit among other items. Excellent and friendly owners who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Thanks David and Oliver!
