This place is kept really clean. It’s an older property, but the owners keep it in very good shape. My room was comfortable and the coffee and simple breakfast in the common rooms was great. Didn’t spend much time in my room. I was mostly out hiking, swimming & exploring. But I looked forward to getting back to my room for a shower and a good night’s sleep. This is a beautiful area and the Lodge will definitely be my choice of stay when I come back.

Highly recommend this property I was in Grafton from Colorado for family wedding for 3 nights. Centrally located for all my functions. Would stay here again. very clean & owner very pleasant on check in HIGHLY RECOMMEND RICK TAVERN FOR EXCELLANT HOME MADE CUISINE!!!!

DO NOT PAY EXTRA FOR THE RIVER “VIEW”!!I did like THE LODGE itself.BUT,as pretty as the area is The Lodge “at” West River was abit misleading. Yes, there is a river nearby. Lol. The advertised”river view” is a field of about 150 yrds of ankle deep grass & snake holes.Followed by 150yrds heavy shin/calf high grass and bigger snake holes. That stops dead at a wall of bush and brushline so high & deep that I couldn’t even hear the river let alone see it.
