The staff could not control their guests and the noise was unbearable

A lot of businesses were closed on Sunday

The room was clean, but the external hallway carpet was old and dirty. There wasn't an elevator...really, and I asked for a late check out, and they gave me a half hour....really.

I spent one night at the Hotel Kinsley in Kingston NY with my partner. The hotel is conveniently located in the popular and walkable Stockade District with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Check in was smooth. Unfortunately reaching our room wasn't as smooth as the elevator was out of service, a challenge to climb when you have a suitcase. Hotel decor was modern and stylish. Perhaps the highlight of the hotel though is its restaurant, which offers very good American food in a stylish setting. Breakfast was included with our room. All in all, the Hotel Kinsley is definitely worth considering if you find yourself staying in Kingston's Stockade district.

Very pleasant and accommodating experience

Beautiful room, overpowered by cleaning products! Room is absolutely stunning but the strong smell of bleach is concerning. We have every window open but for the love of god, do better! Not a cheap place at all, figure out an alternative so your guests aren't suffocating in toxic cleaning products.

Clean room

Continental breakfast was fine. Our last day we took it back to our hotel room on John Street. The staff was all very helpful and friendly.

A coffee maker in the room would have been nice. We were at the 24 John Street property and would have to go to Wall St. address for breakfast. Being able to make coffee in the morning would have been nice.
