Hampton Inn Pittsburgh-Monroeville

Peanuts were found on floor from previous guest. When requested items through text was told to come to front desk to retrieve them.

This property is getting old and it shows. The carpet has stains in the rooms and common areas. The televisions don't have all of the newer stations and things. The back door where people were going out of to smoke was left open often during our stay. The breakfast was okay but not very outstanding. One day of our stay there wasn't coffee and coffee cups and insulating sleeves. There were people gathered at the desk who appeared to be employees of the hotel carrying on with each other. One of the doors in one of our rooms had a reinforced hinge on the door which gave the impression that the door had been forcefully opened at some point in the past.

A/C thermostat did not work causing the room to be very cold and necessitating shut off of the unit. Entry door to the room not functioning properly and needed lot of force to open it. Toilet tissue holder was broken. Toilet flush tank running continuously. Mosquitoes in bathroom. Disappointed with quality of room provided this time.

The Hampton Inn in Monroeville is a most excellent place to stay! I am part of a touring band and the thing that we need the most is a clean safe and comfortable place to stay after many long drives and late nights. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked like a charm, and all the amenities were top-notch. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and lasted all the way until 10 AM, which is super class. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and I can’t wait to come through again.

This hotel is in a good location if you're doing something specifically in Monroeville-. The pool area is nice, but other than that it is not "Hilton" quality. The carpet needs replaced really bad. The hotel and rooms smell musty. I complained about the smell and told the front desk it smelled like wet dog-- the response "probably was a dog and we don't have any kings available." We switched to a two queen room that also had an odor. The room wasn't very clean. Marks on wall, hair in shower etc. We had a meeting in the morning at 7:30 am and there was no coffee. The attendant was sitting on her phone eating yogurt while people waited for coffee-- we left for meeting without it, My friends came down about 7:45/7:50 still no coffee and attendant still chilling. Anyway, I wouldn't stay here again because there are other hotels right by it that have to be better.

If you are looking for a place to stay a night with no expectations, then this place is for you. The price is high but understand this is because of the location and we booked it. But the parking situation is horrible with zero directions or guidance from front desk staff. The staff at the front desk on evening shift had no interest in serving customers. The rooms were kept well and spacious for use. The breakfast was good and had lot of variety. There is a swimming pool but not maintained well. Only positives were location and breakfast.
