Americas Best Value Inn Marion, IL

Free Wi-Fi did not work, tun held no water, free breakfast was a joke. Had like 3 pieces of bread and some kind of waffle batter. Nobody knew what was going on.

The beds were more like cots; room smelled like old cigarette smoke; roaches.

I couldn’t stay there the front desk person was nice but the place had people just put standing around the building they have bars on the window made me feel unsafe

Property is in disrepair. TV didnt even work. Multiple patches in walls, ceilings, doors even bath tub. Furnishings are old and mismatched. Sheets had dog hair on them. Mikdew and water damagd along bottom of bathroom door. Never staying here again.

The staff was not friendly! I felt like i bothered him when i checked in. Our rooms where run down. Holes in the walls, bed was like sleeping on the floor. Toliet didnt flush!

It was worn out, but OK. Fairly clean.

Toilet was running and Shower head had no pressure. I told the lady at the front desk but nothing was done while we were there the two days.

I was a little nervous upon check in, doesn’t look like the best place. I was pleasantly surprised, the staff was very friendly. The room is definitely worn but the bed was extremely comfortable. T.V. Service not so good. Overall was ok for a one night stay.

Room 114 was tidy. Price good. Breakfast did not have any sausage or bacon or cold cereal. Had eggs, biscuits, bagels, etc. & waffles to make. Painting in room had spills on chrome, etc. Lights above bed did not work due to pulled out outlet. Bathroom door would not shut. Needed sprayed for bugs. Pool looked nice. Motel adjoins a bar & lounge. Staff at checkin & checkout was outstanding.
