Shangri-La Qingdao

We were at the newly renovated rooms and it’s definitely luxurious, huge and beautiful. The room is quiet and beddings and towels are clean and fresh. Staff are very attentive and we had access to the Horizon lounge which makes the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel lobby is very impressive and connects both the old and new wing. The horizon lounge is at the new wing.

I was born and raised in Qingdao and now living in Australia for 15 years. I recently went back to visit family and picked Shangri-la for my stay in my beloved hometown. It felt nothing but home. This is a well-known and respected hotel in Qingdao by the locals. A few of my friends held their wedding ceremony in its function room and left with great memories. They all say that there’s always a newer hotel in Qingdao that can offer you something different but you will never go wrong with Shangri-la. The room and facility starts show it’s age but are really well looked after and clean. The staff were welcoming, efficient, professional and actively helpful. The location is great. Metro station, shopping center and the famous May 4th square are within walking distance. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to my next visit there.

Very walkable area and close to the water. Nice lounge and restaurants on site, with helpful lobby staff. Familiar Shangri-la feel of traditional wood, marble and chandeliers. Good value compared to the Shangri-la Bangkok or Ulaanbatar.

It was an awesome stay at Shangri-La Qingdao. We stayed in the Valley Wing. Our rooms were clean and in perfect condition. Very friendly staff. The concierge (I forgot to ask his name) was kind and helpful. We got some useful tips from him on sightseeing. The manager Kenta was very courteous as well. The only minor complaint I have is the overcrowded breakfast at weekends. There were too many guests. Getting a table could be a hassle. But I understand it’s hard for the hotel to manage so many guests especially if they don’t follow rules and sit wherever they want. Overall it’s a great experience. I have stayed in Shangri-La Vancouver and Shanghai before. Really enjoyed their high standard in service. This location is consistent with what I have experienced before. Will definitely come back when I’m in town again.

So comfortable and quiet

Kenta and Matt/the entire team at the Shangri-La Qingdao went above and beyond for our recent stay. I have never had such incredible service and they went out of their way to make our stay seamless. From organizing cars to thoughtful gifts, I'm looking forward to our next stay already. Thank you all so much!

Staff is very friendly and accommodating

It was a wonderful property wonderful location. It also provided unforgettable experience of the nighttime lights in the city.

Great location, clean and spacious room. The hotel ambient and service are great. it is conveniently located next the metro station and big shopping mall.
