Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort

Terrible. Returning customers. Fam with 8 year old. Booked 3 months ago with clear indication of wich room Extensive email exchange with reservations with map of preferred room At arrival worst room on road with no privacy and no view After complaint moved to new room. When unpacking we see styrofoam on floor. Asked the 'butler' to sweep. Half hour later styrofoam is back we look up a rat is looking at us from the airco grill. Clearly the grill is loose and hotel was aware of situation.Solution we can repack Suggestion go back to first room Finally agree on room for the night with promise of a list of options next day. 5 am smoke alarm goes of. Next day no options. Reservations suggests rat room was our own choice! Mentioned the smoke alarm next morning 5 am smoke alarm . Contacted concierge no response. Worst Christmas ever Other issues but this is enough 3000usd pn room Never coming back

Amazing location - sugar beach nestled between the pitons is beautiful. Friendly and very helpful staff, good food options. Nice touches like ice lollies in the afternoon and free water refill stations. Nice to have two beach options too, so you can choose if you prefer quiet.

It is very expensive - with some hidden costs like paying a ‘resort charge’ each day. That being said Saint Lucia is an expensive destination in general.

If you are looking for a luxurious, relaxing, gorgeous place to enjoy time with your loved ones, Sugar Beach Viceroy is your place! Our family of 5, with young adult children thoroughly enjoyed our time here during the holidays. Every view was amazing with a movie worthy setting! The staff catered to our every need while we were, they were amazing from pre-arrival, our butlers, beach bartenders, every staff member was friendly, helpful and went above and beyond!

Returned to Sugar Beach and once again this property has delivered what we expected and way more. The setting is simply spectacular, the accommodation luxurious and spacious and every restaurant on the property delivers high quality. The staff, to a person are well trained and excellent. Butlers, wait staff, beach staff, dive shop staff, shuttle drivers and management...every single one goes out of their way to increase your enjoyment. So, as per my prior TripAdvisor post and my YouTube video focused on the snorkeling (Sugar Beach Reef HD), that will be my photographic focus again as that tends to be least well described on this site. The dive shop, managed by Elijah, and all of his staff are outstanding. Whether you are a seasoned scuba diver or you have never put on a mask and fins, they will meet you at your skill level and share their warmth, enthusiasm and knowledge. And the reef is among the best for simple off-the-beach diversity and quality. Go there! (I will post only photos of things I have not previously highlighted)

Unforgettable holidays! An absolutely wonderful place — a true paradise that combines its natural beauty with an exceptional, impeccably maintained property and outstanding service. Truly incredible. It leaves you eager to return as soon as possible.

My husband and I stayed at Sugar Beach for a few nights on our honeymoon. The resort is a beautiful property nestled between the pitons and everyone who works here goes out of their way to make sure you’re having a great time. The palapas by the beach were very comfortable and the beach/pool were really nice although busier than the Anse Chastanet beach. Lots of families as the resort seems to offer great services and amenities for kids but something to keep in mind if you’re just visiting as a couple and are looking for total relaxation. The food was pretty good - the buffet breakfast in particular was fantastic. We also really loved our plunge pool! One con was that we didn’t love having to use a shuttle to get around the resort but they were generally quick to arrive. Very nice resort with fantastic employees and stunning views at every turn.

One magical week at Sugar Beach has ruined us for all other Caribbean resorts. Our experience was seamless--what everyone hopes for on vacation--and filled with: -warm & caring, yet thoroughly professional, service -consistently excellent food and cocktails across all the restaurants, and best of all the beer was ice cold every time I ordered one -a comfortable and spacious villa (311) that had an amazing view of the beach, the sea and the Pitons -best of all was the staff's spirit of hospitality--clearly St Lucian in feeling and not driven by some corporate how-to list

I can see what the hype is behind visiting this specific resort. The view is amazing and the water is really clear! We DID NOT stay at the resort. We drove down to the resort, parked in the parking lot and took the shuttle which was $10 RT or $40 EC. I was told that if you spend the over $100 at the restaurant, your ride back is free. Every corner in the property is stunning picture worthy. Have fun and stay alert, people will try to scam you when it comes to the drinks and food. Being cash and have fun!

Do you like to learn about Wine?? Doesn’t matter how much you know, Oscar is your guy. We took his wine 102 class. He is one the the most enthusiastic teachers. We learned about French wine vs US. About different Appalachians and how the tastes change. Outside of that, the service, butter, drivers, and all the other stuff made us feel special.
