Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort

Well, this place really is excellent! The location is breathtaking, the rooms/villas are impressive with a lovely traditional design yet contemporary style, and the F&B is best in class. Yes, this is an extremely high-end resort, and whilst you should expect the price point to be $$$, it is worth it for the experience. Each of the x3 restaurants, plus the breakfast terrace, are excellent. The beach restaurant is beautiful, with a great beach vibe. And as is the main restaurant with his elegant dining room feel. Even the beach bar on the Pier is stunning, only serving burgers - which for me were one of the best burgers I have ever eaten! Honest! Really can't find anything to critique about this place. Even the wine list is excellent, and if you are on the 'all-inclusive' meal plan you can knock yourself out! Finally the staff in every area of the hotel are among the best; they are too many to mention individually, but they are all charming and care deeply about your stay. Will defo be returning...

Stunning location , with a really nice relaxed atmosphere. Nice spacious room with a lovely terrace and pool overlooking the sea The staff and service were very good , we liked the fact the staff were friendly , fun and engaging. Would highly recommend

We have traveled all over the world and this resort was in our top 3. Can’t say enough about it. So beautiful, clean, well maintained, and everything you would want or need in one location. The staff is incredible and the service unmatched. There are several restaurants to choose from and they are all excellent. The food was fantastic. We will go back for sure. Highly recommend.

The resort is 5 stars, luxury at its best. We had room 702 and the view was stunning! Our butler was the best too making sure we were her top priority! Knowing she had other villas too. The restaurants were amazing, Saltwood was stand out for us, although all other restaurants were beautiful and great service. Only downside was the shuttles, if we were to return we would look at lower places so we can walk to and from etc

Just back from a week here and it was superb. Exceeded expectations. The whole resort area is beautiful. Wonderful manicured gardens and surrounds to all the villas. We were in Villa 710 which was great. Secluded but also with views out to the water. The food in all the restaurants was great. Wide variety and choice across all the restaurants. Definitely have a burger at the Jetty. We did not have a bad or even average meal. The service everywhere was excellent. The resort apparently had a 75% occupancy for the week of 12/1 but neither the beach, pool or any other part of the resort in any way feel busy. Always got a lounger any time of the day. It is not an adults only resort but for our stay there were very few children. I understand, understandably, the Christmas and New Year does have a lot of children. The shuttle service within the resort was very efficient. Never had to wait more than a few minutes. All the drivers were always happy and upbeat. We did the walk to the market in the local town. It was enjoyable and interesting but the market is quite small with little variety but we were glad we got out to the local area. Finally, a thank you to all staff. Too many to mention individually. All very cheerful and nothing was too much. They made the holiday. We will be back.

This an amazing resort. I could not recommend it more. Amazing location. Staff that could not be friendlier. Food that could not be better. I cannot wait to go back.

The service is top notch especially Michela, the Butler. She made everything so easy with a smile and lots of energy! The food was tasty but overpriced. However the breakfast is second to none with something for everyone GF, vegan etc. the rooms were kept clean. The dive shop was the best-Vetis and the captains were very accommodating !! My only complaint is that while water hydration is available everywhere, you are charged at meals for water and also for Diet Coke at breakfast! The spa ethics are overrated but the facial by Michelle and the massage by Yvonne were awesome.

Beautiful lagoon between 2 mountains , excellent service - top notch. Excellent breakfast, you fill like leaving in a postcard.

We are staying at a nearby resort. Decided to check out salt wood at Sugar Beach for dinner. Irene was our server and she was top-notch. All the small touches, the wine, the food. The dessert was excellent. This is a can’t miss if you are in St. Lucia.
