Residency Hotels Astor Metropole

Basic facilities in room. Originally no hot water and no pressure in shower. Moved to another room. Had shower and hot water but no plugs for bath. When you have a long day of travel and you are after a hot shower, some space to sit down and a comfortable bed, then your hotel should provide this. This hotel does not.

When we arrived we were to have two single beds but there was a queen size bed they must of realised because a lady came and changed it almost immediately and was very pleasant. We had a bit of a joke with her.

welcoming and easy to find and was within walking distance for hospital . suitable for elderly people as well

Room was in disrepair, shower overflowed, left over chips on floor on balcony (not cleaned), had to use a pen on remote to operate AC as button missing, fridge froze the milk and was leaking. Gave the list to guy at reception and he just said he would pass it on - no apology nothing. Breakfast was rubbish. I don't think I have ever complained about a hotel before.

The bed was not very comfortable

Short walk to Queen St Mall and train station. The room is ok and would prefer it to be updated for a better decor.

You can’t beat the price or the location but it is what it is. Rooms are quite old and the noise from othe rooms carry through. Chairs scraping around from apartment above. But overall no complaints you get what you pay for.

We booked and on arrival was supprised by the entrance very impressive. It stopped there. We got a king bed, 2king singles pushed together with a big hard bit in the middle and the beds where different feels one hard the other soft! Go to have a shower towels were that old and small that it didn't not feel like you were using a towel they were even fraying at the end. Very poor quality. Sat on the bed to relax before going to our show and charged my phone, power box was wobbly and came off the wall. On picking it up off the floor I saw that it was uncleaned under all furniture! Also paid $9 to park our car in what looked like their garbage bin. There was over grown grass, old matresses and general rubbish I felt like I was in the messy streets of Thailand not Brisbane. Very very disappointed. Even for 216 a night was poor
