Robbins Motel

Property was very basic, it was like cabin we booked it as it was close to the Acadia national park ,

All we wanted was a good nights sleep but instead we were kept up most of the night by a loud and noisy next door tenant. We were actually told by management to bang on the wall to quiet them down! Out of desperation we did but to no avail… the noise continued. Management said they were gone home and lived far away so they couldn’t be bothered. Later we found out that they lived across the road. We did ask for a refund that night to go find a place elsewhere but they refused to give one. If you want to party all night this hotel would be ok but if you have a family or just simply want a good nights sleep, go elsewhere. Nevertheless all the other regular people working there were very understanding, kind and considerate.

The room was dry and relatively clean. The floor was slanted, bed was very uncomfortable and the sheet and blanket were tissue thin. There was a huge gap between the door and the jam that let in light, air and noise. There was an old heater on the wall that would not stay on so we froze all night. Very very old from the walls to drapery to furniture. Weird lighting as the light bulbs were yellow. Pricing was stramge as different prices online, on check in paperwork to signage.

Ask for a refurbished room. Old rooms need help but they are better than tent camping. Our room was small with an even smaller bathroom, only one person at a time to do anything. The bed was good. The door had a broken part that you could see outside. All in all it was worth the money.

No refrigerator or microwave in rooms. Listing on Expedia was very deceptive. The heater stunk when we tried to turn it on, so we slept with sweatshirts and the one tiny blanket that’s provided. It smelled really strong like chemicals and cleaners. The door had a large crack underneath.

Staff was not welcoming. Sheets were dirty, water was continuously running. Wouldn’t recommend.

Hotel was clean. My only complaint is our room smelled weird. Not so bad you couldn't stay there but just not fresh. Hotel rooms are small but cute. Our shower drained very slow so we had long delays in between showers. Room and hotel were fine and assuming for the price isn't a bad deal. No frills.

Our cable tv didn’t work but other

The property is beginning renovations, but is mostly still in need of updating. We stayed where the rooms have yet to be updated since probably 1950. The rooms are cleaned, because you can smell the fabulosa. The windows are so old i felt slightly unsafe, but mostly because there was a man outside pacing back snd forth at all hours, almost the entire trip. He didn't borher us, but his strange presence made it worrisome, snd i do wonder why the hotel allows him to hang around. The staff was polite and reponsive.

Looks like the roof is about to cave in I paid 130.00 on Expedia app which was supposed to be cheaper than paying in person. when I arrived the price that they had was 79.00 there was no refrigerator inside the room and everything looked like it was stuck in the 50s.
