Robbins Motel

I want my star back. No really, give it back. It is technically a motel. It has a sign that says so, they take your money, they give you a key to a room, meeting that definition. The room is difficult to describe. There is a bed. There is a bathroom. There is carpet on the floor. We brought our own sheets to cover the ones provided and our own pillows, we had zero expectations for quality bed linens as we read the reviews. The light above the “headboard” (a board screwed to the paneling) looked as though it had drawn blood. It did what a bed does, providing some padding and keeping one off the carpet. Speaking of the carpet, bring shower shoes so you don’t have to walk on it. There was a desk in the corner to keep your bags and valuables off of it. The bathroom is really something to admire or abhor. You can use the sink, it probably won’t fall off the wall, it hasn’t yet. The tub is, by motel rule, to be used for showers only. I cannot rate that experience as we did not use the shower, or the water. We used bottled water to brush our teeth. The toilet was a place to sit. The toilet paper was on the back of the toilet as the holder was broken and dangling waiting to cut your leg. The sliding door didn’t work. So you get to keep eye contact with your partner, romantically, as the room is small. Then there is the smell. We have spent the better part of three days trying to describe the smell with words. Start with the blue stuff used in a porta-potty. I am not saying

Do not stay here!! The photos of this hotel do NOT match the photos on Hotels.com. We pulled up to this motel and thought we were in the wrong place. The property is run down, has a sagging roof and the rooms look terrible. After veiwing the property (no one was in the office so we drove around) and decided NOT to stay there and forfeited our payment it looked so bad. It's cheap for a reason - again the photos look nothing like the property. We called Hotels.com and they said they were unable to refund our payment even thought the property was not as advertised.

Not a place to stay longterm. You get what you pay for.

Very old place need major rénovations

This place is only good for sleeping and showering… If you get good water pressure that is. we only booked it because it was one of the cheaper hotels around the area of Acadia. The sheets had old blood stains, the towels had bleach stains, the inside of the hotel was from the 70s. The staff was very nice, but they clearly needed help managing two hotels at the same time.

It should be condemned

First off the online rate is double the walk in rate. Do not reserve this room online since it will be $99 a night for a Friday night stay. Carpet was dirty, bathroom door was off the track so could not use, knob missing from the AC so no way to control temp. Parking lot is small, hard to turn a truck around. Room smelled of mold also. Very close to the road and at 4:30 am the traffic begins to flow including dump trucks. Will never stay here again.

The road noise was loud. The room was old and funky but it served its purpose. There was no interior lock other than the door knob. The sign out front advertising all rooms $69 which seemed appropriate for the room. We paid much more than that. The location worked out ok, we were close to Acadia NP. There was no coffee maker, hotpot or any way to make morning tea/coffee. In addition, there were no options for food or coffee within walking distance. Overall it was inexpensive for what I could find on line. Not sure if I would stay there again.

It was very primitive. Old fashion motel from the 50's. No updated amenities but this place was also very affordable.

Expedia charged 100.00 more then what this hotel charges and then Expedia try’s to gas light me telling me hotels change their rates . This motel plasters their prices on the road it consistently 69 and 99 . Expedia charged 277.00.
