The New Mill Apartments

I managed to book into these apartments at the last minute when our initial accommodation fell through, the host was super helpful and friendly with my other half collecting the keys, the apartments themselves were lovely and clean, short 10 min taxi to the bars in the evening and plenty of space for us all to spend some time together. Great little stay, thank you!

We had appartment 5 on top floor very clean no drunks or noise so lovely pleasant stay. Bigger than we thought with full size kitchen and bathroom and 2 good size bedrooms with plenty of storage for cloths etc . Supermarket for all you goods less than 100 mts away and shops outside entrance door and less than 20 mins walk to st James park

We had booked this place before reading or seeing any reviews. I did look at the reviews prior to us going and it did make me abit nervous. However the apartments were great! I think they are fairly priced for what they are and where they are. Previous reviews stated about the area and the owner. Yes the area isn't as 'done up' as others or what some people are used to but we got a really warm response from anyone that we saw and met. As for the owners, they were great and couldn't have been any more hospitable. The apartments themselves were clean and spacious. Plenty big enough for us anyway. The only thing I would say is if you are walking from the station it is a good 20/25minute uphill walk, it definately got the heart rate going but other than that it was really easy to find and if you don't fancy the walk there was always a taxi or uber no more than 5minutes away. I would say they are better suited for groups rather than families. Overall had a really good experience.

The owner was very nice and gave clear instructions on how to check in,the condition of the apartment was fantastic absolutely no complaints with the property.great for the price aswell

The host (Furhan) was extremely helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived. He even managed to gave on our group a lift into town as they arrived late. Great for Stag and Hen party's,short distance from the centre. Would highly recommend

On arrival it became clear that the apartment we stayed in wasn’t the one in the photos that I thought I had booked. The ad is a mix of different apartments with only a couple of them the one we were allocated which wasn’t to the standard I was expecting which was a shame as we’re celebrating an 18th birthday The 2 bathrooms transpired to be a communal area with 3 showers and 2 of the tiniest toilets ever Apartment was cold and we ended up lighting the gas burners and oven to get the room warm There were endless corridors to navigate which didn’t help with the heat issue The area was very rough with litter everywhere outside On a positive the towels and sheets were spotless with early check in and Kate check out

The flat was very comfortable, the only issue l found was the sound proofing wasnt great. There is a main road outside, so theres a fair bit of traffic and internally you can hear quite clearly people moving about in other rooms

VERY CONVIENIENT

We rented out the flats as part of a stag do. The owners were very friendly when letting us in. The flats themselves are clean, spacious and well presented. The area they're in is about a 20 minute walk into Newcastle. The streets outside are filthy and there are some strange characters walking the street at night. I wouldn't feel safe on my own. I wouldn't want any of my female friends being on their own at night in this location.
