"A mistake that you only make once"

Appeared well insulated for winter.

Overlooking a large collection of septic tanks that stank extremely badly. While cottage has a gas heater (which you cannot turn off even in the summer) it has not an air conditioning. Due to the stench of the septic tank ventilation was impossible. Staff and other quests walking past the cottage’s bedroom window constantly to and from the ‘restaurant’ and other facilities. While advertised for $260 AUD per night, they charged me $360 AUD because they can, claiming high season and demand. The whole complex is an overpriced scam and one of the members of staff was quite irritated with me when I told him that one of the two option for dinner time reservation was too early and the other one too late for me. I also paid $30 AUD for their 2 minute car ferry across the river. Similar river crossing costs under $5 AUD between Moggil and Ipswich in SE QLD. Avoid at all costs.

A beautiful relaxing trip down the Pieman River. We were well supplied with food and drinks, and had a tasty lunch pack supplied. There was excellent commentary from the captain.

I loved everything about our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Very cute and comfortable accomodation with comfy beds, couch and indoor gas fire heater. Walking trails and location is amazing and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Very clean, basic but more than adequate accommodation. Very friendly staff in all settings, excellent food at the pub and a very enjoyable cruise down the Pieman River.

We had a little trouble during the night with some annoying mosquitos despite good insect screens.
