The Russell Nashville

This is one of the most unique, amazing places that we have ever stayed! The special details are second to none. We thoroughly enjoyed the gift basket, COZY robes, comfy bed, Dyson hairdryer, pebble ice and carbonated water bar . . . This was just the icing on the cake in a place with incredible design and style. The way that they have combined the vintage old church with clean, modern updates is amazing. This East Nashville community is charming - the hotel is within walking distance to bars and restaurants and a quick Uber ride to local attractions. And then they also give back to the community!!! Please stay here when you visit Nashville - you will not be disappointed.

This hotel is located in a quaint neighborhood that is close to shops & restaurants. It still has the beautiful church stain glass windows with modern decor. We also, enjoyed the snacks & water provided.

Easily the best shampoo conditioner and body wash of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Very unique hotel and awesome location/ dining options. If you have a bad meal in this area, your taster is off. I think the only drawback was that they allowed kids. I’m a family person, but this hotel shouldn’t allow small children. The walls were paper thin and you could hear kids running up and down the halls/ playing with the luggage elevator

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Luggage elevator was down but even that didn’t change my five star review. Such a cool vibe to this place!

Another great stay at the Russell. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Entire property js excellent for get away or visit to Nashville outside the crowds. Great local restaurants and bars within walking distance. We attended the AC/DC concert and it was close enough to walk to Nissan Stadium.

Great place! Everything was just as described. The staff we delt with were very helpful and responsive to our messages. The area seemed safe. There were a lot of things to do within walking distance. Will definitely try to stay here again!!!

Had to book and emergency stay for extra night due to concert change. The Russell was great. It was very charming and the process very easy. No human interaction was necessary.

We just spent four nights here and generally loved it with a few tiny exceptions. The place is very well done, being a former church. Love the decor- they left enough intact to honor the church but modernized it to feel like a boutique hotel and NOT a church. We stayed in room 2:4 and while it was comfy and quiet, the room itself is a bit small, probably due to odd shape of wall. Loved the color scheme and the bed was super comfy- not too hard, not too soft. The place in general was very quiet which we loved as we are older and over the party scene, hence our staying on East side of town. Now- the minor gripes. The bathroom door is a barn door style and it is too narrow. It doesn't even cover the entire opening! This, along with the fact that there is no fan in the bathroom means that there is a bit of a privacy/ modesty issue, if you know what I mean! We are together a long time, so noises from the bathroom are nothing new. Just thought it was worth mentioning! Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would go again and recommend to those wanting a quieter time in Nashville.

We loved our stay at the Russell. The decor is super cute and fun. Check-in and check-out are really easy. I was so impressed to see a Dyson hairdryer with a diffuser in the bathroom (my curls thank you). The beds were not the most comfortable I have stayed in, but they were fine. There are lots of pillows and towels, which is always lovely. This was our first time in Nashville, and I think East Nashville was a great choice, lots to do locally.
