Stockghyll Cottage

Lovely cottage.very friendly staff. Our room was the smallest. Needs a little bit of TLC. The extractor fan kept on starting up through the night.we could hear the man in the next room snoring. The waterfall in the back garden is idyllic ! And the location is absolutely brilliant for access to bowness on Windermere !

Nets at the windows so we could open them without bugs gaining access.a bit of redecorating and sorting out the extractor fan .

Clean and tidy, close to amenities and host very welcoming

Nothing to dislike

The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice of cooked items. The hotel is within walking distance of Bowness (about 10 minutes away) where there is a wide choice of restaurants and access to ferry trips etc.

Amazing location, lovely hosts and great breakfast

Room was very small, but that was on us not the hosts and they did advise us of the before arriving

Wonderful location, the waterfall behind the cottage was simply amazing. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast was the best we had whilst staying at multiple places around lake Windermere. The room was small but comfortable. Truly wonderful little find for a last minute booking to extend our stay at Lake Windermere.
