AC Hotel by Marriott Portsmouth

Had a pretty frustrating time trying to find the roof top bar and the staff could care less to see if we needed help. The room was ok the pictures on Expedia are a bit miss leading when it comes to the tub. Especially when it’s an old cast iron tub and not the big soaking tub that they show in the pictures, but other than that it was clean and tidy. I guess I was just expecting more for the pics for one night.

Great and courteous service Excellent breakfast the buffet could use a few more selections but the non buffet menu and selections are excellent and tasty The Market contains ample inventory Service personnel are attentive and client centric

Awesome place and staff

Nice newer hotel that portrays itself is hip, urban and cool. Not sure it is that but it is a nice property. Had room with view of water and it was clean. Front desk was good and explained the destination fee of $25, which I take as another way to suck money out of my wallet, however he explains you can use it towards food and beverage and get it back. BE SURE to check your final bill before checkout. Our bill didn’t subtract some of the 25 for food and charged two nights of value. The front desk guy was good and took care of it. The envelope in room to tip housekeeping had a scannable teapot pay tip. Well I had no small bills so used the app it was easy, however it charges 20% processing fee so get cash!

Hotel was clean with modern decor. Staff provided excellent service from the valet, front desk, to restaurant staff.
