The Hatton Rooms

The room was very clean & bright,large enough for 3 adults without falling over each other. Plenty of storage, the ensuite was a bit of a sauna once the shower was on as there is no ventalation/fan,but again,extremely clean & stocked up.. Noisy not because of neighbours or house guests,but because we had the Windows open watching the planes take off from terminal 4.. Plenty of plug sockets & a small single table & chair.

Now this is my own preference & I don't want to put a negative on it, but the mattress was too thin for me & I found it uncomfortable,, also again personal, only 1 pillow & a throw cushion on the bed,if you prefer more,I suggest you pack your own. .I would suggest if you have bad knees ask for a ground floor room,the stairs can be hard work with only 1 knee working fully.

The whole overcomplicated procedure. After the booking has been already confirmed by the booking.com I was told by the host that I must pay adfitional fees, fill in forms and complete additional steps in order to "confirm" my reservation. Throughout the whole process, they kept threatening me that my booking will not go through if I didnt do as told. They kept telling me to do the same steps I have already completed. It felt like they had no communication between them and they kept prividing me with contradicting instructions. In the end they refused to provide check-in instructions so I had to book another place because we had a child in our group and no place to stay. I then made a request for a cancellation which they ignored and instead marked my reservation as a "no-show". Scammers.

The location

This is not a hotel, its basically an Air BNB with separate rooms in a house where you get the keys from a lock box. The check in process was very onerous with ID required for all guests, a very long "rental agreement" to sign that's contents didn't align with the specification and a security deposit required. The state of the house showed money was not spent on maintenance, I just hope I get my security deposit back.
