Hotel Guadalupe

The location is great when you travel from Guanacaste to La Fortuna, especially if you don't want to drive at night. It's a mid-way stop for rest, very convenient. I'm not sure what you can do at that location, I know the Miravalles volcano is close, and there must be some touristic a activities I'm sure, since it's a very nice region.

It's little old, the check in guy is a little grumpy, and slow but he has a good side. jaja

This was a very nice little hotel and a nice little small town. Everything was very clean and overall it was a great experience a little bit off the beaten path. The restaurant downstairs was fantastic and included a breakfast with the stay, which was excellent. We had a fantastic dinner there as well. Everyone was very nice. I rated comfort a little lower just because the beds were definitely on the firm side. The rooms were pretty basic if you are used to a fancier hotel or resort- but I would definitely stay here again on the way to La Fortuna. We had a later afternoon flight into Liberia and didn't want to drive all the way at night to La Fortuna so we stopped here- which turned out to be a great idea!

The restaurant at the hotel is really nice. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Nice staff. There was no AC in the room we had, so it was a little warm , the hotel provided us with extra fans though.

It was walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, church, and town plaza. I chose to eat in the restaurant on-site and the food was good. The staff were friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. My room was comfortable and good-sized. There was secure parking.

Weak water pressure in the shower.

Even though my Español es malo, the staff went above and beyond to tend to my needs.

Although it was simple enough to go to the downstairs restaurant for café con leche, it would be nice to have a coffee maker in the room.
