Hotel Guadalupe

In all of my years traveling for business and pleasure all over the world, this has to be the worst place I have ever stayed at. The issues with Room 12: 1) The room was filthy. I don’t think the floor had been mopped in a very long time. 2) There was very little water pressure to take a shower, due to a major leak in the hand-held shower faucet (see picture). 3) There was a rat moving around the roof and wall all night keeping me awake. 4) The bed was atrocious. The mattress was two inches thick and every time I moved the wooden bed frame creaked. The single pillow and linens were horrible too. 5) The staff was very rude and disorganized. In summary, this place is no hotel. It is a cabina. If your from Costa Rica, you know what a cabina is used for. Also, to all the people that have given this dump five-star ratings, should be ashamed of themselves for not giving accurate reviews.

I liked the service. Really nice people.

I did not like that they were cutting the grass and the pool was not clean nor ready to be used.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. They have a restaurant at the premises.

The room does not have air conditioner and was asked to use portable fans.

Nos gustó porque estaba cerca de La Catedral. Ese era el lugar donde debíamos ir. Lo que no tenía la habitación era aire acondicionado. Por lo demás. Estuvo muy bien.

The room was clean and the restaurant very good, with great service. The hotel is centrally located in town.

The lighting in the room was dim at night, so needed more and better lamps. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim both day and night, making it difficult to groom ourselves/put on makeup. The walls were thin, we could hear the people's conversation in the next room even tho they were not talking loudly.
