The location was good close to eaterys and trams. Spacious for multiple people.

The constant messages and emails regarding ID for all guests x5. I had explained many times that I didn't have everyone's IDS and were meeting people in Melbourne prior to checking in. They constantly threatened to cancel booking. These requests should be clear in the booking process along with having to collect key from elsewhere. The process of picking up the keys was a nightmare. In the unit, the table was filthy & stained. The fridge was off, so it was not cold for some time.

The location was fantastic, with a massive variation of food options which make it easy to plan for dinner or lunch or various meals. Public transport is right at the doorstep, with Southern Cross a walk away, along with the Spencer St Outlet for all shopping needs. Communication was good with the host for the times we needed it, and they were willing to assist in any way they could.

The internet was terrible. For a location in the city, being limited to only 20mbps download when the NBN has upgraded everyone to almost 500mbps for the same price feels horrible, and made it impossible to watch movies or shows and the like. Further, the washing machine and dryer need clear maintainence with lint build up approaching fire levels. Having only two keys was also a pain for a the group of 7 we had. The beds, while comfortable, were on their last legs too. It may be worth changing the mattresses and linens as they were stained on the underside.

Location and apartment size

Not cleaned properly, dirty quilts without quilt cover, only 2 sheets under and over quilt no mop, ensuit bathroom shower leaked water all over floor as no seal under glass door, 5 mm gap allowing water to spill out , and no drain or mop to remove water. Dust and rubbish under lounge, next to fridge, carpets badly stained.no chairs or table on balcony, balcony floor and glass filthy. No bath mats, only hand towels and towels provided. Dirty buckets. No broom only hand dust pan and brush. Advertised as having pool and sauna.. however arrived to find out not usable due to maintenance. Extra blankets in wardrobe tatty and old, decorative cushions old and dirty. This could be a great accommodation if they just put some more care into it. Needs a really good deep clean and freshen up.

The location is great with all facilities. Rooms are decent sized with beautiful city views.

We arrived after hours in the late evening so had very clear instructions for how to retrieve the keys, Ready Set also kept in touch via text message asking if we'd managed to get the kids and then checking we made it safe to the apartment. Ready Set also checked in throughout our stay to make sure we were all good. They use an external check-in website which made me quite nervous being outside booking.com but it really was a great resource and everything went smoohtly. The apartment itself was great, we were able to cook breakfast every morning, it had all the right appliances, the dishwasher was used repeatedly and the washer/dryer a handy addition. The beds were comfortable and the apartment building quite nice. Rose Lane has quite a number of really fantastic restaurants, we had a coffee every morning just outside the apartment building door and were spoilt for choice every night for dinner. We either walked 1 block north the get the tram on La-trobe St or 1 block south to get the tram from Bourke St, to move around Melbourne. Also very close to Southern Cross station. Spencer St DFO, Coles and Chemist warehouse were also very close and quite a few trips were made to them.

It wasn't Ready Sets fault but we were disappointed the pool was closed. We checked with Ready Set the week before arriving but the day we arrived the apartment building put a letter on the door which closed the pool for a week.
