St Charles Coach House, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We loved the accessibility of the location of this hotel! The area was so close to Magazine street and street cars and 10-15 walk to fun delis and cafes and shops. The staff was friendly and the rooms clean and spacious. I would absolutely stay here again. They had little snacks and water in the lobby. Our five year old loved playing with the chess pieces in the lobby at the couch.

We picked this hotel based on good reviews. I don’t understand why it has good reviews. The only two things that were just ok were the location on the streetcar line. The free parking in the garage. The condition outside isn’t good. Trash all over the garage. Overflowing trash cans. Cigarette butts everywhere even in the planter boxes out front. As though they were being used as ashtrays. The room looked ok. However after my husband showered walked to his bed to dress, he discovered the bottom of his feet were actually black. He had to return to the shower and wash his feet. We had to put our shoes on in the shower. There was a hole in the bathroom floor that you could see daylight through. You could also hear the person below you in their bathroom. Opening the drapes we had a view of a dumpster and construction equipment. At least we didn’t have to hear the construction Sunday morning as they weren’t working. Not so lucky on Monday. Went looking for cleaning staff shortly after checking in needing bathroom and facial tissue. Why it hadn’t been replaced? The staff upon check in behaved as though you were a bother. Had zero info on the streetcar. Which is supposed to be a reason to stay in this place. An attached private venue wasn’t helpful either locked doors and added noise. We paid over 600.00 dollars for two nights. Definitely not a value. Oh and the street car runs 24/7 so you will hear it.

Had to sleep with ear plugs because of the disco bar next door. The receptionist and cleaning lady was extremely rude and unwelcoming.

We had a great stay at St Charles Coach House. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We also loved the location and access to safe, free, off street parking. Would highly recommend!

Great low key spot on St. Charles Ave in the Garden District. The parking garage was clutch and absolutely necessary for a trip to Nola I think. Located right next to the street car line, it was very convenient to get to the French Quarter. Good service, Friendly staff, and clean spaces, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to vacay in Nola.

The vibe was exactly what we were looking for. Close enough to all the action but far enough away that we could wake up to a quiet morning and evening. Staff were kind and personable. I would definitely stay again!

Large updated king suite room. Comfy bed, Keurig coffee in room. Easy parking....can come and go. Outdoor seating area. Streetcar right out front. Mid way between CBD and uptown. Very friendly helpful staff.
