Comfort Inn Bordentown near NJ Turnpike

Floors were not cleaned because our feet were always dirty. UNSANITARY policy from Comfort Inn, where the beds are never made, towels are never changed unless you ask for clean ones and the trash is never taken out of your room--you have to ask for new trash bags. Staff were friendly. "Breakfast" consisted of waffles and toast with coffee. Nothing else. No cereal, no tea (yes, green tea, but not everyone drinks that kind), no milk--nothing for children to eat, and if you are gluten free, you'll have to go elsewhere. Price was reasonable, but YOU the customer have to be sefl-sufficient: request clean towels, make your own bed and get new trash bags. NOT what a customer should be doing.

The only thing I did like was the location.

So many: Shower curtain rod was half off the wall, toilet tank had a huge chunk of the top missing, hair dryer was broken off the wall, bathroom door had numerous scratch marks and did not close all the way, entry door was missing the safety latch and looked like someone tried to break the dead bolt lock from the inside, the TV would go off at all different times and did not work for 1 day, one wall had a huge section that was replastered and missing the paint, another wall had a plastic bag stuffed into a hole up near the ceiling and the refrigerator made an extremely loud humming noise that actually woke me up the first night.

The beds are worn out. My back was hurting within minutes of laying down. Not sure how this is legal.

STAFF WAS NICE, CONVIENT, EASY ACCESS, CLOSE TO MY EVENT,

BATH TUB DIRTY OR STAINED, DID NOT TAKE A SHOWER, WOKE UP WITH A STRANDE OF LONG BLONDE HAIR IN MY MOUTH?? CAN ONLY GUESS, COFFEE WAS NOT BREWED, IT WAS THE LIQUID COFFEE MIX. I DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO TRY OR TASTE.

Room condition was horrible. Breakfast area in disarray as was fitness room. People sleeping in vehicles in parking lot

Always enjoy my stays here. The staff is so helpful and very nice. Feel very safe and peaceful here.

This "hotel" was dirty, broken down, and unsafe. We had to wedge the desk chair in front of the room door because the security latch was ripped from the door. The bathroom door was in such a beat up state that we had to keep it propped open to avoid the noise it made when opening or closing it. The toilet tank lid was broken. The shower curtain rod was so loose, it was impossible to properly close the shower curtain. There were holes and patches in the walls, one hole was plugged with a plastic shopping bag. The microwave was filthy. The clerk was wholly unimpressed and just kept shrugging everything off. He offered another room but that one wasn't much better and when we tested the hot water in the tub faucet, it only got lukewarm. We are normally diligent about checking reviews but were exhausted from the long day of driving and just went with the brand "Comfort Inn". Unfortunately, the reservation was nonrefundable. Never again! We didn't even dare try the breakfast there.

Hate it everything

I recently booked a stay at Comfort Inn Bordentown near NJ Turnpike for $140, and I didn’t even last 20 minutes before checking out. This was, without exaggeration, one of the most disgusting places I’ve ever walked into. The moment I opened the door, I was hit with a strong, stale smell of cigarette smoke, despite the hotel claiming to be smoke-free. It was overwhelming and immediately made the room feel unclean and poorly maintained. As I looked around, things only got worse. There was visible dirt and grime everywhere. The door was covered in smudges and streaks, clearly not wiped down in a long time. The walls had damaged fixtures, including a cracked cover that looked like it could fall off at any moment. The bedside area was absolutely unacceptable — rust and dirt buildup around the outlets and lamp base, which is something you don’t expect to see in any hotel, no matter the price. It gave the impression that basic cleaning and maintenance are completely neglected. The bed was the final straw. There were visible stains on the sheets, and worst of all, human hair scattered across the bedding. That is completely unacceptable and honestly disturbing. At that point, I didn’t feel safe or comfortable even sitting down, let alone staying the night. This place should not be operating as a hotel. It feels more like a neglected roadside motel that hasn’t been properly cleaned or maintained in years. For the price they charge, this is beyond disappointing — it’s unacceptable. I immediately checked out and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Avoid at all costs.
