Mercure London Heathrow Hotel

Not very helpful.

Stayed here before but I have found that the whole place looks a little more tired than previous visits especially the bathrooms. Sink and bath Taps needed a change, toilet pan squeezed into a tight space and the whole bathroom generally needed an overhaul. Parking is atrocious in the dual level covered car park. Spaces are very tight, the place is very dimly light and very dirty with the hotel using it as a dumping ground for surplus equipment. The car park is nothing more than a massive pigeon pen and expect your car to be soiled with droppings the next day. Pigeons roost on the steel framed roof joists and a simple fix would be to attach netting to the underside of the framework to stop pigeons getting into the high places and perching themselves there.

The hotel room was dirty, dead flies everywhere, towels were dirty bedding was stained it was disgusting

Was really surprised at how basic. There for 2 nights and unable to resolve issue of no controls for the TV! (Come on! How hard is that!). Just to make you aware, no usb points on sockets for chargers, £16 a night to park and inside the ULEZ so although it looks a cheap bargain, it really isn’t. Little things that say a lot- we arrived on Monday Evening at about 8pm- all the TVs in the bar/lounge/ reception area were ftozen on the news channel from 0.48am that morning. Throughout the whole stay, this was not fixed- we left Wednesday morning at 9!! Now, this isn’t a real impact issue but really shows the lack of regard in place here for making things right- ALL staff willing to just ‘leave it’. For me, shows lack of desire to make things right. Will not be stoping again

Not impressed. After working hard to gain £180 in credit a lot through other Mercure hotels. thought I would use this to treat the family. Whilst the room was spacious and the main bed comfy that is were there positives end. £16 per night use a car park that was not looked after, pull out bed was uncomfortable. The an extra £15 per person per night for a breakfast that was sub par and even when I asked for a pouched egg was told that is extra ???? We are waiting on an email From the manger but I think Hotels.com should do something to help as I say I use you up to 15 times a year but this left a sour taste.

So the hotel is extremely disconnected from everything. Closest buss station is 10 minutes on foot. The bus station is 22 minutes away on foot. There are 2 roads to get to the hotel, one is safe and good, the other one is closest but feels isolated and dangerous ( although i need to confirm that I have not had any threatening incidents) The staff is...okay.. some are very nice, and some are passive. I guess you get what you pay for.

Good location and price

Hotel was fairly good, but no option for food later in the evening which isn’t ideal given it’s near Heathrow and people arriving/leaving at odd times
