Comfort Inn Saugerties

Good hotel in Saugerties. Good location, good room and bed, clean, good shower.

Clean and comfortable

It looked like the hotel was upgrading. Fresh paint, newer carpet in the hallway. In addition the I liked the fact that there was not any carpet in the room.

My stay was for 5 nights. Housekeeping only showed up once and asked if we needed anything. I told her we needed towel. She did give us fresh towels but did not replenish the toilet paper. We did run out and had to go to the front desk. In addition, every day we returned to the hotel, our key cards had been deactivated. We had to get a new card each day. There was a lot of questionable guests staying the hotel. The hall ways smelled of marijuana every day all day.

When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk for almost 20 minutes. When I checked in and went to my room, I saw that the hotel was under renovation in the hallways. However, my room was fine. Unfortunately, when I awoke in the morning there was no water and I had to check out and get a refund.

I have to be honest. I only picked this hotel for the pool. I planned a day of snow tubing and an evening of swimming for my son and me, but Unfortunately, the Pool was closed. I asked the staff if the closure was temporary, but they were not really any help.

Close to Interstate

Dirty filthy toilet. Toilet leaking.

Facility was dirty, maid service was nonexistent, had to find manager for clean towels each day, toilet paper, pool was closed even after we called a couple days before to ensure it was available. Breakfast bar each morning had same limited selection everyday. Nothing was cleaned at the breakfast area each day, same stains were there every morning. Definitely not worth the rate we were charged.
