Holiday Inn - St Augustine - World Golf by IHG

The location is perfectly situated by the freeway but doesn't have the noise. The staff are friendly and highly accommodating. The suite had everything we needed and was comfortable.

It would have been perfect if the suite was on the first floor but the hotel isn't designed that way. All in all, there was nothing to complain about.

We did not have breakfast

The bathroom toilet was wayyyyyyyyyyy too low. had to use the door to get off. The renovation of the room was perhaps the worst I have ever seen. The workmanship was totally unacceptable.

The location was great. It was quick to Interstate 95 yet not far from historic St Augustine

The only bad experience was the room above ours overflowed the tub and it leaked down into our bathroom. The water made quite the mess, but it was quickly resolved by a wonderful staff member. Not ideal but accidents happen and the staff eagerly resolved the situation

It is sad that this hotel has never been recently inspected by the Holiday Inn Corporation, otherwise they would remove their name on the building and there would be a Motel 6 sign on the building. The hotel puts up a good show to fake it tho, as looks are very deceiving. The only plus was our room & bed were clean. That's where it ends. The A/C unit did not work properly, The hallway carpet was dusty/filthy in front of our door and NEVER vacuumed during our 4 day stay. Never saw one person cleaning the facility the entire 4 days! Pool area filthy, entire grounds not maintained, weeds all over, trash overflowing in cans by the front lobby entrance all throughout our stay. Gift shop/pantry with items for sale almost bare the entire stay. Coffee bar/urn in lobby during the morning hours not clean, No condiments either. Very understaffed hotel. They put on a good show, but an experienced traveler can see thru it. This hotel does not meet Holiday inn standards whatsoever. As a Platinum Elite member i can assure you i will never stay here again when we return to St. Augustine to visit family. It is truly sad, that they don't even have a satisfaction Guarantee to refund your money to retain a customer. Read the other reviews as well, mine is not the only poor review, which should tell you something. Overall Rating ~ Poor/Avoid

Horrible experience!! Run down, major issues with humidity and leaking ceilings. They over booked last minute and then did not take care of previously booked reservations as priority. No eggs or breakfast meat. Unprofessional and no compensations whatsoever!!! Will never recommend this place!!
