Location was very good for my purposes. Rooms are adequate, clean and comfortable.

Breakfast is limited and only open late on the weekends

Everything starts on my arrival at the Courtyard of Marriot at 505 Milwaukee Avenue. Lincolnshire, IL 60069 on August 28, 2023. As a businessperson, I travel all over the country always using the Marriot to stay, and for that, I have ambassador status. With a previous reservation until September 27, 2023, I found out that the place I was working for let us know they were going to be closed by September 4 for the Labor Day holiday I let them know that and I was able to leave and come back September 5th with no extra charge to my account. Upon my arrival, I was told by the front desk person that I would have a complimentary breakfast, but this person never told me that was only one day. The hotel charges me for breakfast four times when I have one free. I didn’t complain or anything. In the two weekends I spent in the hotel were people making loud noises and running by the halls after midnight and no one did anything even after I called the front desk to let them know. I have an emergency to be in a different city by Monday and I explained to the manager that was an emergency she told me they were going to charge me for an extra night and that was a policy for leaving before all my colleagues stay for two weeks and leave, I will be going to be charged because I need to leave in an emergency. For me this is a weird policy, the manager explained that the hotel paid a toll during the pandemic and that was the reason for the policy, and I would like to know who did not pay a toll during the COVID pandemic. Also, I have already stayed in this hotel for three weeks, and most probably I need to come back, but not to this hotel for sure. Today I went to the front desk and asked the manager if I could change my departure day and she told me that they would charge me for an extra day because I already said that I was staying until September 27.

Hotel staff was nice. Maurice drove us in the complementary hotel shuttle and I told my young child, “that’s what excellent customer service looks like.” If you visit when it’s warm, ask for a room that doesn’t overlook Courtyard. Hotel doesn’t not enforced 10:30pm close/quiet policy. Was kept awake past 2am last night. Mentioned to the staff on duty tonight, but don’t have high hopes anything will be done about it tonight either. They did welcome me to purchase some earplugs… Didn’t have a chance to use workout facilities, but it looked above average.

Very noise air conditioner and not comfortable with the mattress

Cafeteria receptionist very rude and prejudiced with foreigners. I will not return to this hotel and will not stay at any Marriott again. This hotel does not have a restaurant or room service. Cafeteria offers the basics and is only open in the morning and evening. Extremely high values. Also, my breakfast was always wrong, and everything is charged separately. Bad experience.

Staff and restaurant, with real meals. I don't mind paying more for a good meal, but it’s not fair to pay what they charge for what they offer.
