Hotel room interior was great, but no internet and no TV cable for 3 days during the stay.

The location was good.

The other thing very loud people in the pool. Someone knocked on our door sat nite at 2:30am very loud. Have more control on behavior. There were ants as well.

Horrible stay! Why is this hotel even open? Shut down the hotel, do the renovations, and then open. Hallways smells terrible, room was dirty, patio door did not lock. Will never go back

I got one of the renovated rooms, but the air-conditioning unit in the room was so noisy. It kept me up for most of the night the first night the floors in the reception area were dirty and full of trash. I was gone for the first day and nobody came in and cleaned my room.

Dear Marriott Customer Care, I recently booked a stay at the Marriott in Virginia Beach for my birthday,my first solo trip in ten years. I chose Marriott because of its strong reputation for quality and service. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and raised serious concerns about safety, cleanliness, and transparency. Upon arrival, I learned the hotel was under heavy construction,something that was not disclosed at booking. The restaurant advertised as being on-site was unavailable, and the entire property had a moldy smell. The single elevator for the whole hotel was slow and inconvenient, and the hallways had missing tiles, creating narrow, unsafe walkways,particularly difficult when carrying luggage. My room itself was not in acceptable condition: The room number plate was missing. There was an odor, and the bed and pillows smelled like old cigarette smoke. The telephone did not work, meaning I could not contact the front desk in an emergency. The air conditioner was leaking, leaving a puddle of water on the floor. The balcony, which faced a noisy highway, had a wasp nest, making it unsafe to use. When I reported the leak to the front desk, I received only a brief apology and no offer of a refund, room change, or other accommodation. I also had to personally go to the desk to request fresh towels. Given these conditions, I believe it is unsafe for Marriott to continue booking guests at this location until renovations are complete and proper safety measures are in place. My stay was far below the standard I have come to expect from Marriott, especially considering the nearly $100 per night rate. I respectfully request a formal apology and an appropriate refund or compensation for this deeply unsatisfactory experience

Friendly Staff, Nice outdoor Pool, breakfast and gym was under renovation though, but overall, the stay was really nice

Under construction, site should state that before booking. Everywhere you look things are unfinished. Room was nice but no food no gym. Grounds are in need of maintenance, grass over grown.

I am extremely disappointed that Expedia would offer this hotel on your website. The hotel was not inhabitable. There were less than 10 cars in the parking lot raising a question before I even went in the front door. I went in with an open mind and checked into the hotel thinking that it couldn't be that bad. As I approached my room I walked down the first floor hallway where there was carpet missing, tile missing, baseboards missing and most if not all room number plates. As the room numbers were written on the banged up walls with pencil. I went into my room once going up the elevator and down the hallway on the third for which was equally as terrible as the first floor hallway. Once in my room I went to the restroom and flushed the toilet and the toilet had an extremely slow flush making me think that perhaps it wasn't going to flush all of the way. After three total flushes the toilet paper finally went down the toilet drain. Then when leaving the bathroom I noticed that the peep hole did not have any glass or barrier in it. It was a hole straight to the hallway. It was at this point that I grabbed my bags and and left the building. I did not speak to anyone at the front desk to ask for a refund. I was so uncomfortable that I went straight to my car to leave the parking lot to find a different hotel in town to stay in.
