Mold in the shower. Handle to the faucet of the bathroom sink was detached. It took 10 minutes to get hot water to the bath. Coffee machine in breakfast area broken, so no coffee.

I arrived and was told they only had a room on 2nd floor and the door key did not work so staff would need to come to my room to open door each time. the other option was a 1st floor room where door key worked but was handicap room. closet space was useless as so low and no hooks anywhere else in room to put things at a higher level Breakfast hot food was only slightly warm and not much available. when I went back to get another omelet, there were none. It looked like there were 6 or less cars total in parking lot, so there did not seem to be many people there

Let me start by saying there are not too many quality hotels in this area, at this price point, that offer convenience, safety, comfort, a satisfying free breakfast, and a good atmosphere. This hotel lacks some of those key qualities. The staff worked really hard to care for my needs. However, this is just an old and outdated facility, and it shows its age. This is especially true when compared to the newly constructed Holiday Inn Express across the street (which, in fairness, is not at the same price point as this hotel). Cons: -breakfast lacked options; no fresh fruit, no variety of juices, only one entree (omelet) -the smell of curry hits you as soon as you open the front door -no elevator (good luck if you're on the second floor with lots of bags) -parking area not well lit (I parked at the Holiday Inn) -pool area closed -vehicle noise (right next to the Kansas Turnpike) -vending machines were essentially empty Pros: -the staff worked hard to care for my needs -some reviews spoke about noisy guests; I did not experience that during my weekend stay -room was clean; no insect/pest activity detected -right off of the highway -in-room AC worked great; and it was on when I arrived -it's cheap Summary: As much as the staff tried, I cannot recommend this hotel; it's old and lacks key infrastructure. If being price-conscious is not an option, just stay across the street at that newly constructed hotel.

Sink stopper missing; only two toiletry items; bathtub was RUSTY!

Staff didn’t say much. I was the only one checking in and it took about 15 minutes just to get a key. No elevator and the whole property smelled like curry. The room was relatively clean but the whole place hasn’t had an update in probably 20 years. The bathtub had rusting holes in it that were covered by a bath mat. The ac unit had mildew on it and you could smell it when it came on. The whole area felt sketchy. There were only a few people staying here and they put a guest next to me that was constantly in and out all night with no consideration of noise. I booked it because the previous reviews were positive but I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here unless it’s last resort.

check in was a breeze; friendly; clean.

Should have gone somewhere else. Went to lobby bathroom, the one mens toilet wouldnt flush. Carried everyhing i had upstairs and found my room door unlocked. After carrying everything inside, played with door lock but couldnt get main latch to lock, deadbolt wouldnt lock. Wedged ironing board against door, placing additional weight against it. Tried tv, it said antennae wasnt hooked up properly. Gave up on it as i was tired and needed to get up early the next morning. Next morning the main door lock still wouldnt work, but i did get the deadbolt working. Upon telling this all the next morning to front desk, he seemed very unconcerned, and guessing they get complaints often. If i was owner of this brand, i would be embarrased and ashamed to have this property within my brand. I have done many mystery shops for a wide variety of businesses and I dare to say this would qualify as my worst report ever, had it been a mystery shop.

This hotel looked like they hadn’t updated in over 30 years. It was just scary!

The bathtub was bent down in the center causing it to not drain completely. It had about a half of an inch of water standing in the tub due to it being bent down. Toilet cycled on and off all night long making it difficult to sleep, the tub had peeling paint in it and there was no alarm clock in the room.

Terrible conditions. Attendant has to lock door. Electronic locks dont work. Trees growing in pool
