Royal Inn

This hotel sits behind another closed hotel, the front sign fell off, one of the front doors is boarded up, the front lobby has all sorts of junk in it.

We stayed 4 nights with no room cleaning during our stay. Property is in terrible shape

The Days Inn was absolutely disgusting. Lied about amenities… Pool dirty, restaurant not open, TV in lobby not working, no tea, only decaf coffee in room but not offered at breakfast. In room, the door stuck so had to use force to get in, dirty and old food beside microwave, switches sticky and dirty, broken lamp, broken key chain latch, desk chair cushion dirty… used towels to cover chair before sitting on it, and slept on towels on the sheets and pillows. And worst, cockroaches crawling up door frame... I have a video. Very sketchy people and I believe I witnessed a drug deal. There was no sign on hotel lobby car overhang, just outline where it should’ve been. Rooms not soundproofed at all. I did not feel safe and worried about germs/bugs/rodents the entire time… so gross.

No breakfast or coffee like they are supposed to. Rooms are okay but the floors and bathroom was not very clean and trash was left in room.

It grows on you if you stay long enough.

The hotel was nasty.

This property was not clean it has mold on the ceiling there were spiderwebs and bugs in our room the linen on the bed was dirty and stained the air conditioner had mold around it and the refrigerator and microwave had moAlf in it I reserved 2 nights and saw the room and got our money back the staff wouldn’t stay in filth like that so why rent it out I don’t recommend this or any days inn

Not clean or convenient

Terrible experience – avoid at all costs! This place is nothing like the pictures online – total scam! The room we stayed in had mold, broken walls, and was absolutely filthy. The entire place felt more like a shelter than a hotel. The area is extremely unsafe, especially for women – lots of shady people hanging around, possibly homeless. I did not feel safe for a second. This is not a hotel, it’s a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place!

As far as the customer service, it was phenomenal, but the room itself was horrific. The first room that I was in. Sewage was coming out from the drainage where the shower is….and when I moved into a different room, it smelt great. It looked great, but the air conditioner did not work. I had to borrow a fan from the front desk just so my boyfriend and I won’t be hot. I don’t think that I would stay at Days Inn by Wyndham Durham/Near Duke University again.
