Travelodge by Wyndham Waukegan Gurnee

The room inside was clean no complaints there it was the over all hotel in the halls the railings the walls was all dirty you couldn’t see the dirt and the outside there was a broken down car trash even a old spare tire in parking lot. We will be never staying there again.

The check-in staff was ok, lady was on the phone the entire time, gentleman trying to help me was needing her assistance because I was paying cash, she never put the phone down nor acknowledged myself as a paying customer, very rude if you ask me especially for the amount of money I paid. The lobby and hallways were dirty, carpets needing cleaned and changed. The room was decent, much better than some of the reviews I had read. Bedding was clean and comfortable, no issues with bugs. Clean smell, non-smoking wing. Biggest complaint is the friendliness of the staff, always appeared to be a bother if we needed anything but apparently that comes with the culture. The area was fine, it is Waukegan. Wouldn't be my first choice but as a last minute booking, I would do it again.

It was a last minute decision to stay the night there. The room itself was fine. Clean and cozy for just a quick nights stay. Arrived late, around 9:30pm. Stood waiting around for about 15 minutes as no one was at the desk. Finally someone shows up at the desk and begins asking about my travel plans, multiple times asking for me to take them along too. Rather uncomfortable. A second individual showed up and began the check in process. I was then told there was a $20 cash deposit on the room. The next morning I went to check out, waited again for about 10 minutes with no one at the desk. Same individual the night before shows up. I check out and told Im good to go. I stand there and he says all is good. I remind him of the deposit. He then left for 10 minutes to go check on the condition of the room before finally coming back and returning the $20. Little awkward, but at least the stay itself was fine.

The Staff & Motel need a major face lift. The Carpet needs replaced or at least cleaned inside and outside of the room . Holes repaired inside the room and the Locks fixed to enter the building as you don't need your room card to re enter the motel

BED BUGS! Do not go here. I stayed here over the weekend and came home with over 20 bed bug bites. I have never encountered bed bugs until this crappy hotel. When I called to complain, they tried to tell me I never even stayed there and my name wasn’t on file…absolute garbage of a “hotel”.

Hotel is dated but accommodation and room were clean and comftable. Tub was kind of small but acceptable. Price wise, decent considering a same day booking

Was a okay stay but hair in the tub holes in the blanket on the bed. Also holes in the wall from cutouts that were boarded up. Was never given sign on for wifi so it was an unsecured internet. Was supposed to be a jacuzzi but couldn't find one was not in rooms so was confused.

The manager was the most rude and hostile person I have ever dealt with. She refused to listen to reason and was more interested in arguing even in the face of me trying my best to diffuse her anger. The check in was inaccurate. The room was filthy. The manager was just a horrible person.

The staff was not friendly at all. I couldn't understand the woman and when I asked her to please repeat herself she got loud instead. The room was decent. But the actual building and halls were dirty and smelly.

The lady behind the counter was extremely rude and i will never stay there again
