Property Notes

Fern Howe Guest House is a strictly nonsmoking and vaping property, to include all internal and external areas. Anyone found to have been smoking within their rooms will be charged a minimum £150 cleaning charge per room affected, and may be asked to leave. Please advise at time of booking of any dietary requirements. Breakfast is served via two seating times of 7.45am and 8.15am Fern Howe Guest House operates on a self check-in basis. As depicted in the photos, the Single Mountain (Fell) View Room; the Family Mountain (Fell) and Garden View Suite; and the Twin Mountain (Fell) and Garden View Room all have some areas with reduced ceiling height, due to their location on the top floor of the building.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. A deposit may be required at the property.

Food and setting were lovely. Very accessible to Keswick and the northern fells.

The car park is very tight and a bit of a challenge.

"Beautiful Stay Great for Vegans!"

The guest house is beautiful and the area is gorgeous. Emma made my stay really comfortable and I felt looked after. I am vegan which normally means I miss out on things like a decent breakfast and freebies like cake and biscuits .... but Emma went above and beyond, providing mini vegan flapjacks in my room, amazing vegan cakes in the afternoons and the full cooked breakfast was superb!. I stayed in 2 seperate weekends in different single rooms as was on my mountain leader course and both rooms were very cute. The one upstairs which was slightly more expensive was worth it for the views. Thank you Emma for being so welcoming I will definitely be back 💛 Lisa Latimer x

Très bon petit déjeuner, lit confortable, gentillesse de notre hôte qui offre une part de gâteau l'après midi !

Le parking est étroit. Il y a des marches d'escalier derrière la porte de la salle de bain. Même si nous comprenons qu'il était difficile de faire autrement, c’est un risque de chute la nuit. La chambre supérieure vue jardin et montagne donne en premier plan sur une toiture un peu poussiéreuse.
