"Wedding weekend"

4.0

I and a number of friends and relatives had booked rooms at The Springs Inn for my daughter’s upcoming wedding. 15 rooms total were booked through the website provided by The Springs Inn, and few of these rooms were charged to the credit card at the time of the booking. Eight weeks before our stay, my daughter received an email from the owner of The Springs Inn stating that there had been a “glitch” in their system and we were undercharged by 40%. The Springs Inn indicated that they could no longer provide accommodations at the price originally afforded, and they asked us to make up the difference. After several emails back and forth, Springs Inn offered us as their only concession an increase of 20% rather than 40%. In light of the fact we all booked for their required two night minimum, with the amount of business we were bringing them, we were amazed that they could not accommodate us. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere. Based on our experience with The Springs Inn I would not recommend a stay there to any future customers.

"Concerning experience"

2.0

Full disclosure: I viewed a room and attempted to book it for a week, but ultimately didn’t. I still think it’s a relevant review. So the showing/booking was handled by a “tenant” of the motel since the owner was away. I took a look at the room and let this gentleman know I wanted to rent it, to which he remarked that I have a really nice car so am probably trustworthy. Once in the office, he said he could get me into a room on the spot for $300/wk, and began to go through a list of fees I was required to pay. I truly couldn’t understand most of what he was saying, because his voice kept going from very soft to normal, and because he never finished explaining one thing before moving onto the next, and then circling back to the first. I was pretty uncomfortable at this point, and just wanted to pay and get my key. I told him I was happy to pay the advertised price immediately, and took my wallet out. He asked what I thought the price was (“because people have heard different things”). I told him, and he insisted I use my phone to show him both the Craigslist ad - AND the motel’s website - because he’d never looked at either. I did, and then he looked at me and said “goodbye.” I was confused and asked what he meant. He then began repeating “goodbye go somewhere else goodbye go somewhere else goodbye go somewhere else” over and over until I backed out of the room and left. I won’t speculate as to what caused such bizarre behavior, but I did not feel safe. It appears that the motel may now be catering exclusively to the type of folks who require long term anonymous housing and low weekly payments. It is 100% not child or single female friendly, and I would consider that gentleman’s instability to be a safety risk. Remember, he apparently lives there so will likely be present when you go to book a room. Please be careful folks.

"Room cancelled at arrival"

2.0

Room was correct. Location fair. Equipment OK. But welcome was terrible. The reservation ( made in January) had been cancelled two hours before my arrival by e-mail received the day of arrival duringthe drive to the hôtel. The hôtel was empty and the receptionnist was very reluctant to give me a room. More the room I reserved was with breakfast uncluded and I was told that they did not supply this service anymore. I do not recommend this place.

"Meh"

4.0

Like another reviewer said, the air freshener was so strong that we had to air out the room. The room was clean so no complaints there. There was no access to the ice machine in the lobby as it was closed when we got there. Our room keys were left under our welcome mat at our room. No coffee or water in the lobby in the morning and the pool was not even filled. Not the worst I have stayed in but not the best for the price.
