Americas Best Value Inn Lansing

This motel is disgusting. Our room was not clean and in very poor condition. Our bathroom door was decaying and wouldn't shut. The walls were decaying and falling apart. There were spider webs on the walls. The bathtub was brown and coated in grime. Our bed was so hard and uncomfortable. The continental breakfast was a joke, toast and some tiny stale doughnuts with squeezable butter. It's in a sketchy area with sketchy people. The worst part was that the next morning I woke up with clusters of itchy bed bug bites on both my arms, neck, face, and back. Now we have to take of the risk of bringing some of these bedbugs home with us in our luggage! When I informed the management about the bed bugs in our room, they were very rude and wouldn't even give us a refund. Do not stay here! Seriously it's the worst place I have ever stayed in.

Nice, comfortable room at a very reasonable price. My AAA membership knocked another 10% off an already low price. Easy highway access and close to the friend I was visiting. The carpet needed cleaning. The bathroom door latch was in disrepair.

Horrible night, smoky room imbearable smoke smell, rooms were like motel 6 , sink was badly scratched needs to be replaced- the whole place needs to be remodeled and should not even use!! Disgusted

WiFi was weaker than it should've been. Walls and floors transfered sounds and foot steps easily through the rooms and my neighbor kept fighting on the phone throughout the night. Bed was large but felt like I was sleeping on a stack of cardboard boxes. Neighborhood had me constantly checking on my car to ensure it was safe.

The room was kind of old and rickety, but not bad. It was clean and basic. The downside was I did not feel safe at all and I had people outside my window being loud all night.

Barely ok for the price. Room smelled like smoke, and we found cigarrete marks on the bathtub. We were too tired to go and change it. In the end it turned out ok, but only if you really really lower all expectations. You get what you pay for.

Cost was a little high for the room. I was looking for a cheap stay overnight - this was but overpriced for the condition. Smoke smell in room. Bathroom was in need of basic updates. Paint and detail work would go a long way. Sheets were clean. Pillows were old and worn out stains on the covering. Carpet in room was clean and overall it was not untoletable. Just not much attention to the details of maintienence.

So...I knew when I booked this hotel, I was looking for a cheap place to just sleep. The site around the hotel is under construction right now so everything was a mess. That is not the hotel's fault. The room condition was a bit warn but clean enough. The only thing that really bothered me was the fact that these use to be smoking rooms. The windows don't open and the ventilation is poor. They have tried to cover up the old smoking smell with strong room fresheners but there is a terrible smell in the room. All of my clothes ended up smelling like a mixture of smoke and room deodorizers. There was a fridge and microwave. No coffee pot or hair dryer.
