House and Heart Guest House

I loved it being literally around the corner from Emerald Palace where the Inter-Region Chess Tournament was held, and it being walking distance from a Spar for groceries (like getting additional coffee, etc.) The room for 2 was large enough, I loved the spacious bathroom, the place was clean, staff very friendly, and breakfast was great. The accommodation isn't 5-star, but the price absolutely matched my expectations and saved me a LOT on the cost for 5-star.

It was troublesome maneuvering my very small car in and out of the guesthouse if someone parked too close to the gate on the inside and couldn't be found. We had to unplug the fridge (although only for a few minutes) to boil the kettle, as the kettle-cord is too short to reach the proper plug otherwise. The walls are thin between the cheaper units, so if you're playing a weekend tournament and need good sleep, don't expect the neighbours to know (or care).

The atmosphere is very welcoming, with a high level of security. Clean and quiet really a place to rest. Nice welcome by the receptionist.

The long wait at the gate is vulnerable to highjacking. The bed was not prepared for guests( dust and spiders both on the bed and basin in the bathroom). Worse that spider🕷️ and web 🕸️ found under the sheet. Breakfast was dry.
