Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort

Let's start with the walk from the parking lot to the Front Desk. At the top of the ramp you need to use to get out of the parking lot is a garbage can that was full to overflowing. Food was strewn on the ground around it. I reported to the person at fron desk and was told he'd have that taken care of immediately. Three trips out and return and each time it just had more garbage piled up and each time I told them hoow disgusting it was. You finally couldn't get past the food just sitting rotting on the ground. Second full day there we returned late in the afternoon and no room cleaning had been done. Three trips to the front desk after being told "I'll take care of it" (phone rang off the hook - no answer) clerk says the cleaning service manager had just told them that morning that they weren't going to do room cleanings that day (only prep for new arrivals). I demanded they at least get me towels I could take back to my room myself. I told her I felt sorry for her since it was apparent that ownership wasn't even doing minimal maintenance and management didn't seem to care. "no Management showed up today - and I have one person managing housekeeping and he won't answer his pager" was her response. I DO feel sorry for the poor souls who have to face the public with no authority and no support. Book this dump at your own risk.

This resort had great amenities, located in a bucolic and peaceful setting with wonderful staff and excellent customer service. The only areas where I was a little disappointed was the availability for dining at the resort. The few options for food were closed throughout most of the day, even the small Starbucks cafe did not stay open very long. You had to rely on uber eats and Doordash which are delivery services I have never used (by choice), so that was a big let-down. The other item was the temperature in my room. I was on the fifth floor and the room was extremely hot, even when setting the thermostat at the lowest setting of 66 degrees. I would wake up with pools of sweat which definitely was not ideal. All in all, with just a few small changes, this would absolutely be a premier destination for all types of travels and for all types or reasons (personal, business, solo, conferences, get-aways, etc.)

I stayed in a luxurious suite that was truly unbelievable. There were two balconies with gorgeous lake views, an extremely spacious living room, kitchenette, and french doors to a wonderful bedroom with dressing table and balcony. The staff was so friendly, courteous, helpful and caring! A really amazingly wonderful experience!!

Clean quiet and serine! We really enjoyed stay here in celebration of our elopement it was BEAUTIFUL ❤️
