Holiday Inn Colchester by IHG

Beautiful spacious room, very friendly staff, great selection at breakfast, nice pool, jacuzzi and sauna.

I could hear the railway line and traffic noise from our room.

The staff were amazing friendly talkative helpful And the breakfast was lovely with lots of choice

1 small thing.. I was in an accessible room as im in a wheelchair and though the room had all of the amenities, the room was on the smaller side and I couldnt reach the kettle

I liked the proximity to the major route, the fact it had an onsite restaurant and offered a pool and spa. Bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom a good size. Bathroom was clean Pool was a really good size. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good menu choices and breakfast.

The spa facilities were tired and grubby: the side of the pool was filthy (used plasters poolside, dirt) My room was decent although there was litter under the desk and by the bed. No warning that the room was located at the end of the building adjacent to the railway line. Windows did not appear to be triple glazed and may as well have been open there was that much noise from outside. WiFi is not secure which made working on business matters difficult for me.
