"Fabulous stay"

An all round lovely stay. An old fashioned hotel with a very individual atmosphere and excellent customer service. Everyone from front desk to the breakfast service was helpful and friendly. A special thank you to Paul and Fahad at concierge who haul luggage up flights of stairs with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel.

"Quality restaurant in its own right."

Very well prepared food with good flavours. Maitre d really knows his stuff. Honestly positively surprised as I don’t expect chain hotels to be this good. Only reason not 5 stars is they were understaffed vs their demand and everyone seemed rushed off their feet.

"Comfortable stay but a few nighled"

The experience as a whole was lovely but as a 5* hotel I expected everything to be perfect and it wasn’t. Drive by car. Had to wait for concierge to park our car. £48 a night parking is excessive. Not enough staff in bar or restaurant resulting in long waits. For example we had a meal in the restaurant and I’d finished my main course before my glass of wine turned up. My room although quaint was tiny considering the charge of £450 per night. Again this was excessive. As I said a lot of positives but if you’re known as I 5* hotel then you need some improvements

"Enjoyable stay with some faults"

Location

Small niggles such as waiting too long for drinks at the bar and restaurant. Over priced rooms as well. This is not a five star hotel
