Location. Lovely hotel beautiful grounds. Air con which was welcome due to the high temperature during my stay.

The location and the visual of the building.

Decor is dated. Reception staff not welcoming. Aircon doesn’t work. Booked dinner for 8.30, advertised close at 10. Told kitchen was closed by the time I arrived at the restaurant. Had to have bar food which was also nearly a “no” because kitchen was closed. Spa treatment, over priced. Good massage but totally impersonal. I took longer to get dressed afterwards so she left me, no goodbye, no invitation to relax in the relaxation room, no direction on where to leave etc. no friendly welcome!

Location, parking and building is pretty.

Aircon was not adequate and difficult to sleep in admittedly very hot weather. I had hot/warm water through cold water tap which was not great for cold shower during hot weather or brushing teeth etc. Breakfast was ok but breakfast room is tired and food options were a bit more limited than expected.

Limited toiletries no body lotion or hair conditioner in the room and safe broken not working. No bottled water in the room and 4 tbags! Not what you expect.

Its convenience to the city centre

The breakfast was poor, the continental breakfast was described as being served, pastries and croissants, yoghurt and seasonal fruits. We had to get our own drinks there were no pastries or croissants seasonal fruits were melon. When we complained we were told this happened often and it was the chef’s fault. We had our money refunded but that really is not the point
