Las Colinas Inn Irving, SureStay Collection by Best Western

Went to this hotel as part of a block with our out town soccer team. Unfortunately I was disappointed from the minute I went to check in. I had already checked in online, yet the check in process at the desk took an extremely long time to get through. They have one small closet elevator for all 3 floors and no pool onsite (over 100 outside). I went up to my assigned room (227) and the key did not work. I went back downstairs and they eventually noticed they accidentally wrote down the wrong room number. I finally made it in to my room (225) only to be hit hard with the overwhelming smell of mildew. The floor in the room was seriously uneven under the carpet and then when I made it over to the bed area and looked up, I noticed that there was mold all over the ceiling with an active leak coming from the floor ac unit above (I assume based off the area of the leak). I heard from other families staying at this hotel that the 3rd floor may have been renovated and was better, but the 2nd floor stank in the halls and the rooms should not be slept in. Another person staying had a similar experience in their room on the same floor. The also had a surgical glove that was placed over the shower faucet so it made it unusable. They relocated to another room on the 3rd floor and said it was better. I opted to move to another hotel all together. I am a Bonvoy member and have always been impressed with Marriott hotels. I travel several times a year and was sad to have had this experience with them.

If you need a place to stay if will suffice but overall it's not very good. When we first arrived we were given a first floor room that had no curtains so the very bright parking lot lights kept the room too lit to sleep in. Moved to an upstairs room which had curtains but if you tried to close the bathroom door you would possibly get stuck. I had to yank the door very hard to open the door again. Lots of peeling paint. Weird room configuration. Uncomfortable bed. Just overall a weird vibe. Which is strange as I usually have good experiences at Marriot properties. Oh well I guess they all can't be great.

Very good hotel, excellent service. And don't say the kindness of the front desk.

Check in was easy room was clean , We had a sort of hole in the floor under the carpet and tripped in it when we told the desk they said rooms had be remodeled and some weren't right we weren't offered a different room .

We were so thankful to have a hotel room after American Airlines canceled flights. When we arrived late at night there were 2 staff to help check everyone in and this is better than just one person. The hotel is clean. The breakfast … so sadly they ran out of all types of bread and also ran out of orange juice. However the rest of the items were good. Our hotel room was super clean and the windows had extra blinds to provide darkening. The AC unit worked really well. I did notice the carpet was wet around the window and a slight musty smell. I mentioned at the front desk that the carpet was wet. A maintenance man heard me and jumped into the conversation and said “sounds like the AC unit is leaking” the way he said it I gathered this happens on occasion. I smiled and went back to room thankful to have a bed to sleep in.

Property is renovated… but still old. Our room was 84 degrees when we walked in. Hallways are musty and humid. Only showed 1 room on our reservation at check in when my receipt showed the two I had reserved. In addition, the room type, location I requested was not noted. Hotel was quick to blame the “third party” I made the reservation with (Orbitz) for not getting that information. Anyway, it got figured out.

The pillows are awful so bring your own and the elevators are tiny but quick. Breakfast was good and parking is easy.

Nice location, area, good access and it was very neat and clean. Service was also friendly. Breakfast bar was full, neat and good food.

The staff was not friendly and the property was not well maintained. They did not have a shuttle and did not seem to care about the guest.
