EVEN Hotel Manchester Airport, an IHG Hotel

Check in took an unnecessarily long time as no one was at the front desk or near it. Room was average, nothing fancy nothing terrible. The AC/Heat unit made a persistent rattling noise when on. There was a 1-1.5 inch gap under the door that I barricaded with a towel and the yoga mat provided. Mold in the shower and the door stopper fell off the wall when the neighbor slammed the door while I was showering, terrifying me as a solo traveler, and demonstrated previous poorly fixed attempts. Hotel was substantially louder throughout the majority of the night than I would have cared for. As someone who will be booking hotels in the area very frequently I’ll not be booking this one again.

The continental breakfast was better than most. Fresh bread and bagels, scrambled eggs were actually fluffy and good. Coffee was actually good too! Two thumbs up.

Staff very friendly and very helpful - above an beyond for me on this stay.

Had a wonderful experience! Only stayed one night but front desk was efficient and kind. The room was clean, smelled nice and ac (when in) was nice and strong. The room was spotless. My only issue is the TV - they only have the most basic channels (no hgtv, USA or fx which I tend to watch in hotels) and we couldnt hook up a firestick either. The pool was nice (open til 10?) and clean. The gym was nice and clean (and open 24 hrs!). Saw some people complain about noise levels but we didn’t hear any traffic or trucks on the third floor.
