Port Askaig Hotel

Very little.

The rooms are very tatty and poorly cleaned and maintained. Waste bins not even emptied on arrival. Really too many issues to list here. One real worry was the power pull cord for the shower which was tied up and rendered the insulator redundant. Pretty sure this is an electrocution risk and illegal. Booked this specific room for ‘sea view’ but the windows were very dirty with rotted frames.I am shocked that your service should list properties like this.

Friendly staff, amazing food, perfect location.

The hotel location was perfect because we had a 6 am ferry and it is less than 100 mts away from the terminal! The bedding was evidently new and comfortable. We had great dinner at the pub downstairs and the hotel/pub owner was really welcoming and served us food even though it was a bit late for orders.

We were given twin beds even though we had requested double, but that is not such an issue. The problem was we were not able to make the shower work even though we followed the instructions we were given, so the water was cold... A bit expensive.

owners and staff were very friendly and obliging,, beer garden with lovely scenery , food was lovely

fabric of building does need upgraded ,but didn't detract from our stay

Great location, good breakfast and dinner

Very dated , clean but defo needs some upgrading to match the beauty of the area
