Welcoming check in, clean room , comfortable beds

We booked this hotel as it had a pool which we were wanting to use. Unfortunately the filter had an issue and the pool was closed.

Excellent staff

Not enough staff. Room not ready when we arrived after 3pm book in time. Had to have room service back as the duvet cover was ripped. Tried to put us on 1st floor but we had specifically requested ground floor as we are both disabled and you have no lift. Room cleaning was often late in the day. When you have just got in the last thing you want to do is leave your room again so it can be cleaned.

Good location. CCTV coverage in the car park.

Crazy bar prices. No air conditioning in the rooms.

The bar staff were lovely

The hotel room was disgusting, faecal marks in the toilet, stains on the bedding, floor wasn’t hoovered, excessive noise all night from loud talking, walking around and slamming doors.

cheap upgrade for an air conditioned room, which should be standard in 2026.

staff quite rude, would ask a question and wouldn't get a response just an action rooms weren't very clean floors all around the hotel felt like they were going to fall through.

Some rooms had air con (some working, some not) The hotel was very uncomfortably hot otherwise. A fan was requested and given but was not of much use. The decor was very dated and worn and the bathrooms had mouldy sealant. The swimming pool had developed an electrical fault on our second day of staying and couldn't be used.

Pool area and whirlpool were nice

Our first room 109 was very disappointing, we normally stay in a travel lodge but thought we would treat ourselves, we booked the compact room which was definitely compact, bathroom so tiny. Our first night was so poor as no fan it was so hot and all we could hear is the room next door talking and farting. Yes the walls are that thin! And the noise from toilet systems were very noisy. The key card was constantly not working and had to go to reception a few times, once in a towel after a swim. Then the shower couldn’t be switched off which meant when we got back on the evening we had to move rooms, as it couldn’t be fixed, we had had a very tiring day cleaning and packing up our daughter’s student accommodation. The new room was a lot better, but disruptive after a long day.
