Gloucester Robinswood Hotel By Sunday

The facilities parking leisure and rooms good. Staying the hottest bank holiday week was not comfortable in the rooms. Fans provided but just circulated hot air. Certainly AC needed with climate change. The pool area was good but again suffered the heat. They were trying to cool the pool with cold water from hose. The desk staff great but the service staff not attentive. Certainly they did not want to be there and If you just want to sleep and swim then ok. Such a shame as in a great area.

This hotel is on our Travel portal for work and a group of us chose here because it was very close to work for an overnight stay. It was OK but no more than that, rooms and in general needs a refurb to be honest, it's a little tired. There was no air con in the room and although I had 2 fans on constant the room was stifling and uncomfortable although obviously the weather is not the fault of the hotel!! Bar service was quite slow and breakfast was mediocre at best, I was the first customer and already the eggs were rubber, the toaster heated the bread rather than toasted it, it would have burned if put through a 2nd time and why oh why do Chefs insist on folding the bacon so the underside is fatty and horrible. Would I stay again? No!! There are much better hotels for the money.
