Jupiter Hotel Wetherby

This hotel looks lovely at first view and the lounge area is the best looking part of the hotel. The staff members are so welcoming and kind too. When you get round the back to park, its not the best looking place to be and i was very on edge about the area and leaving my car parked in their car park. Our room had a lot of damp and mould in the bathroom as there was a pipe or something leaking under the bath when in use. This one isnt necessarily the hotels fault but when we eventually got into bed there was a huge spider which ran across my face and resulted in a full blown panic attack at midnight with no sleep (so if you was next door, i apologise as those rooms are not sound proof like it states). Other than the above, the hotel would've been great however I paid £88 on discount and Id say I should've paid more around the £50 mark.

Just perfect, if all hotels were as good. Short walk to Wetherby centre, nice and quiet and comfortable, lovely staff too. One small gripe but it’s about Mercure in general, why is the lovely breakfast so expensive ? This is the same across Europe where I’ve used the chain many times.

The cleaner was cleaning the adjacent and opposite rooms from 1am, initially thought it was the guests making noise until I looked out and realised it was the cleaner - whistling and banging as though it was middle of the day...

I had to return my full English breakfast back. It was totally inedible.

Not great. V quiet hotel but ended up in a v tired room miles from the entrance and twin beds instead of double. Cooked breakfast was average, no offer of toast, coffee brought black and told I should go to buffet zone to get milk rather than a small jug being brought to table. Just no focus on customer service it seemed.

All good and easy

Great service. Friendly staff. Helped me call a taxi to the train after my meeting ended. Was disappointed to have a shower and not a bath, but it was okay for a business trip.

The hotel is probably due a refurbishment. Our shower room was tired and there was wallpaper peeling in the bedroom. However the staff were absolutely great. They really couldn’t have been more helpful. We also had dinner in the restaurant and although the choices could have been better the quality of the food was excellent. We thought the room was very good value for money. If it was refurbished it would be worth another £50 per night and we would be happy to pay it.

Rude at reception when i arrived (receptionist started to check me in, then became more interested in her personal food delivery, answering the phone whilst i was stood waiting mid conversation). Cold room. Not the room i asked for. Mouldy carpet. Limited breakfast options for vegans.

It's OK, ask for a newer room. It's very basic but the bed was comfy and it's walking distance to the centre of Wetherby
