Hollywood Casino St. Louis

We had a one-bedroom suite that was very spacious and clean with a nice big bed that was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and nice and quite spacious. We liked the big mirror and the double sink countertop. There was a big whirlpool bathtub that we didn't have a chance to use but we liked the glass walk in shower and it was very clean also. We really liked the coffee bar with the deep sink in it and the mini fridge in the bottom cabinet.

The room was really warm when we first got there so we turned the A/C down to 60 degrees, but I don't think it ever got down below 70 degrees. I like a cold room so 68 degrees would have been perfect.

This place is a joke. The first night we were here, there were drunks wandering the halls until 2a.m. Keeping us awake. The television guide as so slow you could take bathroom breaks waiting for the next page. The bathroom sink was partially clogged so drained so slowly the sink would fill up if you let it run very long. The place claims to be non-smoking, but the entire place smells like a cigarette butt. The shower door opened the wrong way, so you have to get into the shower and let the cold water run on you while you wait for it to heat up. The room was clean. That’s the only good thing I can say. Avoid this dump like the plague it is.

Very over-priced for a mediocre room. There were dead bugs on the floor under the desk. We had to pay for the shuttle to the concert on their property. And our friends not staying at the hotel parked in their parking lot (no fee) paid $5 less per shuttle pass than we did staying at their hotel. The shuttle should have been included in the hotel stay. Went down to complain to the front desk the guy sitting behind the desk told me, "you are waisting your time telling me anything you need to talk to her" pointing to the only other person behind the desk that was on the phone. Very rude and why are you SITTING behknd the desk not working if you cant help?? As I stood there waiting for the lady to get off the phone my shoes stuck so hard to the floor my shoes about came off my feet when I tried to move. I explained to the lady my frustration about the price difference of the shuttle from what we paid and what our friends paid she said there was nothing she could do but would have the manager call me. This was at 7:30 this morning, it is now 7:30 pm. No phone call. Absolutely horrible customer service. We will never stay here again.

We came for a one night stay for a concert at Hollywood Amphitheater & went to the casino afterward. Every staff member we encountered from check in, to the restaurants/patio area, the people checking IDs at the casino entrance, dealers, the coffee shop, security, and house keeping staff was so friendly and helpful. We had the most pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again!

How spacious it is.

Rooms needs cleaned a little better. Found a lot of hairs.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I’ve stayed in Motel 6’s that have been better than this! I’m not hard to please or picky, but you could feel every spring in the mattress, the linen had holes in it and there was blood or something splattered on the wall and drops of white liquid on the floor in front of the chair. For $200/night it was not worth it. I won’t be staying here again!

Good experience overall. Came for a visit to see family and ended up staying at the casino hotel. Great value. Earned free play and free food. Also comped our king suite after our flight was canceled.
