Calathea Hotel Monteverde

Great place to stay for the price. Clean, nice room and balcony. Would definitely stay again.

Great suite, roomy, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 tv’s, Netflix, fridge, microwave stovetop, toaster oven, bath with large shower. 2nd level shared patio with lots of seating and a great view of the gulf of nicoya.

Excellent staff, good breakfast, and large rooms with everything that you would need.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Made a special take-alomg breakfast on a day we had a very early tour booked.

Calathea Lodge is in a perfect location to tour Monteverde area. The balcony facing trees in the back allowed us to capture a picture of a teal-browed motmot. The reception staff are exceptionally helpful in arranging tours, and any last minute requests. Breakfast was sumptuous and helped us enjoy long hikes during the day. They even packed us breakfast to go on the day we checked out because we had an early start. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

All staff were friendly, helpful and sincere. Would stay again. Nice Italian restaurant at walking distance.
