Hampton Inn Phoenix Midtown Downtown Area

Overall a decent Hampton and was as expected. They do have 2 water machines for filling your bottle, an essential in Phoenix! The one in the gym was room temp/almost warm though. Main issue to work on would be gym hours. I came down at 515 am and was told gym was open 6am to midnight. It’s a small gym so by 6am several people were already there for limited machines. The second morning my keycard didn’t work even at 601 am and the receptionist let me in. There was someone working out already and the receptionist said she’d let that guest in early. I’m just not sure why a hotel on a western time zone would not open the gym earlier (especially if they’re expecting guests from eastern/central time zones who are likely waking up earlier due to jet lag). Many people also like morning workouts. I was also frustrated that some guests would be allowed in early but not others (depending on the receptionist)

Good breakfast, friendly front desk. Super convenient for St Josephs hospital. Has a parking fee, don’t scan the QR code, add it to the bill. Sadly the mattress was miserably hard. Room was clean, cable setup was good, AC also great. Asked for service, didn’t happen, had to retrieve TP, trash bags and wash cloths from front desk.

Location. And the breakfast was very good. I needed Kleenex in the room. And the gal delivered quickly. That was great

Alway a pleasant time. staying here the staff always helpful and nice.

Everything is fine the rate was affordable for the time of year
