Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa, Vail Valley

Ski valet "misplaced" my skis. I ended up having to walk all over in my ski boots and find them. I paid for valet and only got frustration with unapologetic, unhelpful staff. Also- you are "skiing" out of the hotel on grass and mud.

Just a magical experience at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. We were told many positive things about the hotel before arriving, but I'm happy to say they are all true. Starting with the the staff, they were always attentive and delivered whatever we asked for quickly. When we were taking out skis over the to the valet for storage, staff came to help us out before reaching out counter. Even at the ski school, when we needed to get our kids skis adjusted, they were quick and efficient. Service is a 10/10. Secondly, the convenience cannot be overstated. Having the ski school 20 feet away from the lobby, having ski rentals delivered and sized at the hotel and having an alpine village just steps away made the experience so easy and fun. Kids loved the complementary cookies and smores and the 5 hot tubs were a great touch so it never felt crowded. We will definitely be coming back!

Staff and hotel was nice. The s’mores and firepit was nice addition to the trip as well as the skier lounge and skier amenities but you are charged $60 for these. Also don’t think about asking for a rollaway bed (additional $55 a night) or microwave (additional $35 a night) and there is no microwave to use for free at the hotel. Also parking was $60 a night. Lots of hidden costs.

My kids and I stayed at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek for our first ever ski trip and already have next year's stay booked! I was nervous about how everything would work, getting ski gear on and then getting kids out to ski school, but I should not have worried. Both the location and especially the hotel staff make this an incredibly smooth process. The hotel staff (especially Gabrielle and the concierge team) went above and beyond to make this an amazing experience for the me and the kids. It felt like a vacation, not a trip, which is hard to do with 4 kids. I can't recommend this enough - if you're going to ski with family, this is the place to do it. 10 Stars!

The rooms were a little tired for the price. Not terrible, but a bit worn. Also, I detest the use of two flat sheets that sandwich a duvet, as opposed to a proper duvet cover. Yuk! The ski valet staff was amazing! So helpful and friendly, going above and beyond. We loved the Mountain View off our balcony for Thursday night fireworks. The staff at valet/arrivals, concierge, front desk were quite friendly. I did ask one concierge for a taxi and rather than calling one, they gave me a card which I found atypical for this price point. All in all, we appreciated the location and had a very nice stay. Our teenage boys loved the pool/hot tub area and spent hours there each night. We enjoyed the proximity to the lifts, shopping and great restaurants.

I’m sad to write this review as we have been coming to this hotel for a few years now, usually with family and friends and booking more than one room. We were planning to continue coming year after year, but after our latest experience, we will not be staying again. I also will likely no longer try to maintain Globalist status. Service-wise, this is NOWHERE near a true Park Hyatt, or even at the level of a Hyatt Place. Food service at the bar - There are some truly exceptional staff here - one of the bartenders, the host at the spa, the manager at breakfast at the restaurant - but the terrible service we experienced from the manager of food service at the bar ruined our experience. It was that bad. We tried to get our table cleared, made at least five requests to five different people, and still, our food arrived onto a dirty table (leftover drinks, leftover food, etc.). The bartender taking food orders that night was unfriendly, and the manager told us they had run out of two items on the menu. At 7pm. There seemed to be only one bartender and one waitress working from aprés ski through the evening to serve hundreds of people. Management should have anticipated a busy week, as this was ski week for some schools (week of Presidents’ Day), and should have staffed and stocked food accordingly. Ski valet - The ski valet are generally friendly and prompt, and certainly very convenient, but it was extremely frustrating that they gave one set of our boots to someone else. I’m not sure they realize how big an error this is, as there seem to be no procedures in place to make sure this sort of thing doesn’t happen. They did rectify the situation, but there was lost time on the slopes, leaving a kid waiting and waiting, to sort it out. Working remotely - If you are accompanying family but need to work, it’s very tricky as housekeeping cannot be relied on to service the room in the morning, or even by early afternoon. Even after requesting that the room be serviced in time for a 3pm meeting one day, they arrived just as the meeting was starting. These were our biggest issues, not to mention the many smaller issues we encountered. One example is when asking for change at the front desk so we could tip housekeeping and bellman, we were told they couldn’t make change. One person explained that they were the assistant manager and couldn’t help us (what??). When we went to the Ritz Carlton for dinner one night, the front desk there was happy to give us as much change as we needed. We used to love this hotel, but after the last experience, we understand now why friends do not stay here and choose the Ritz Carlton instead.

Hotel is perfect for a ski vacation with kids. The ski valet makes it very easy to pick up equipment every day. The staff is responsive to requests and seem like they enjoy working there. Rooms are clean and spacious.

Wow! We had a great experience at the Park Hyatt! We have stayed in Beaver Creek before a few times, and have always wanted to stay at the PH. We will definitely be back. Rooms were very nice, a little small on storage space since we had ski clothes and such. Other than that, spectacular! Service was amazing throughout, and the food at the lobby bar and in the restaurant were great! Special shout out to the car valet / bellman / ski valet staff! Highly recommend!

We had the best time at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. The hotel is gorgeous, the rooms were great, the staff were super friendly. The hotel is very convenient to just walk outside and start skiing. They have staff ready to take your skis and boots for you at the end of the day. We loved the firepits and complimentary smores. Overall it felt very luxurious and high end.

The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is one of the best hotels we've stayed at in Colorado. The ski valet service is excellent and having the ability to send your rentals to and from Gorsuch is a great time saver. The hotel is beautiful with many great amenities.
