Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa, Vail Valley

The hotel is in a beautiful area with great accommodations and food. Overall, a very nice experience. It's probably even better in the winter if you're a skier.

Hotel in great condition. Ambiance, food quality and creativity, health club, property environment, registration process, TV and optional streaming platforms, wifi, room quality and staff support ... all simply superior. Interactions with employees (who were from all over the world and inspiring to talk to) were joyful. I also had the pleasure of meeting the GM at this property (Claudia Dowdy). I was inspired with her emphasis on supporting her staff and providing excellent guest experiences. If you are looking for a beautiful, well managed, upscale property in a charming quaint mountain community, this is it!

We just wrapped up our stay and wanted to share an honest review of the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. As big Hyatt fans, we found this property to be terrific, but the service and staff fall short of Park Hyatt standards. **The Good:** The location is unbeatable - you can't ask for a better spot! The rooms are quite spacious, which we appreciated as we had adjoining accommodations for 3 kids and 2 adults. Proximity to Beaver Creek Stables, Vail, and other attractions was very convenient. S'mores for kids were offered each night - a nice touch! Helpful and efficient valets at the front door. **The Not-So-Good:** The rooms show their age and could use some updating. If you're an early riser or on East Coast time, prepare to be disappointed - no food or beverage options (including room service) until 7:30 AM. Restaurant menus offered limited options for kids (esp. vegetarians), and service ranged from excellent to poor. (One waiter asked us to explain our request for "rolled oats," which was featured on the menu.) We noticed the trash under our breakfast table on Wednesday was still there on Thursday morning. Several front desk staff members seemed disconnected and inattentive throughout our stay. Housekeeping was poor - We specifically requested turndown service, but it never happened, despite following up. We were offered 15,000 Hyatt points as a form of compensation, but they still have not been posted to my account. One of the two elevators was out of service during most of our stay, and construction noise from the 4th-floor renovations was quite annoying. **The Wallet Shock:** While the room rates were clearly posted when we made our reservation, and we expected high food costs, be prepared for some big add-ons: - $60/day parking plus tax - $55/day resort fees plus tax - $30 glass of Pinot Noir at lobby bar (inc. taxes and gratuity) - $15 for yogurt and coffee from a machine in the lobby mini-market - Sky-high local taxes, including a Beaver Creek assessment of $20+ per night per room, in addition to the Occupancy Tax and Eagle County Lodging Tax What looked like a reasonable room rate turned into much more with all these extras. Wish they were more transparent about the true cost upfront. **Bottom Line:** Great location can't overcome outdated facilities, poor service, and fee overload. There are better value options in the area.

Be aware that this hotel is not in Vail, which was confusing because it shows up when searching for hotels in Vail. The location is in a different village which is so outdated and is about 20 min drive to the Village of Vail. The bathrooms at the pool were filthy, wet paper on the floor, No toilet paper and No staff members around. Had to ask the spa receptionist to fill up the drinking water at the gym. The employee at the reception desk offered us an “upgrade” to a better room with a better view for extra cost but the upgraded room had a queen bed instead of a king that was on the original booking and the “better” view included a roof. The restaurant was dirty, the spa is outdated and I had to wait for the receptionist who left the desk while I was standing in front of her to show the place to other guest. Definitely not worth the high price.

Beautiful surroundings, spa is the highlight and wonderful pool. Service has gone downhill since I visited last year. Food was better than I remember.

Great hotel! It was super dog-friendly. The location is excellent as you can walk on trails right from the hotel and it's proximity to Beaver Creek Village is ideal.

Rooms are nice but nothing to write home about. Food was good but limited on in room service. Hotel was being worked on so construction noise during the afternoon. If you fly into Vail, make sure you have transportation lined out ahead of time. Airport is small and Uber drivers don’t like going out there to just pick up one guest with no one at the other end to pick up. Canceled on me 3 times. Finally paid $150 taxi to get me to the hotel.
