Rising Star Casino Resort

I reserved a deluxe suite with 2 queen beds,a pull out sofa bed and mini-fridge and microwave.i was given a 9:00 p.m. latest time of arrival without having to call them to tell them that j was arriving late.i arrived to discover that Al the suites were occuoied

This is billed as a casino resort so a nice experience is expected. The "Lodge" hotel at the resort is newer. The double deluxe room is huge. The free breakfast buffet is located across the street in the entrance/lobby of the casino. The building is decorated beautifully but the buffet breakfast is a joke. There is coffee, juice and water that is self serve. One server for 30+ tables and the place was packed. The "buffet" is from a menu and must be ordered. We were seated but didnt even receive a menu after 30 minutes so breakfast equalled one glass of juice. The actual casino is nothing short of ANCIENT. It is very small. The reels on tbe slot machines are faded. We were never able to find information about amenities listed. You hardcore gamblers that only require a "chip and a chair" will certainly get that. If you want a little more, do yourself a favor and visit a different casino.

There was not a smoking shelter outside of the lodge hotel. There needs to be one. Complimentary coffee shoukd be served at both hotels.

The website doesn’t tell you that all 3rd party vendors are across the street at “The Lodge”. Nobody was on staff. Had a sign said to check into the casino hotel to get registered and keys. Room door wouldn’t open. Back to main hotel, and still didn’t work. Maintenance was called. After 45 min moved to another room. Terrible experience.

Isn’t connected to hotel. Had to take shuttle, but wasn’t too bad.

The Rising Star is a fantastic place to stay! The only issue we had was being across the street at the Lodge. This was really not a huge problem, but we would have rather been in the main building. Thank you

Comfortable and quiet. The casino is across the Street from the lodge rooms, so this is quite. No services for these rooms other than housekeeping.

The property was filthy the mattresses old and uncomfortable only one restaurant was open at a time. There was 2 staff members at the front desk ine was chewing and snapping her gum. The Casino was disgusting the first floor seemed to be the cleanest but way to hot and and half the slots weren't even working. I will never go back and never recommend this property

It was walking distance to the casino, the campground and Rising Sun, Indiana.
